Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To increase the convenience of an operator by adjusting the change speed of a specification value used for controlling a device or the like.
SOLUTION: An input device 10 inputting the specification value specified by the operator comprises: an specification value change section 110 changing a first change amount in which the specification value is previously decided when receiving a specification value change instructions showing the change of the specification value by the user; and a change amount change section 130 changing the change amount by the specification value change section to a second change amount smaller than the first change amount when receiving instructions changing the specification value to a way different from the specification value change instructions within a previously provided change amount change period after receiving the specification value change instructions and leaving the change amount by the specification value change section as the first change amount when receiving the instructions changing the specification value to the way different from the specification value change instructions after elapsing the change amount change period.

Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To permit a user to precisely recognize a double-click operation using respective input devices, when a computer can possess the multiple input devices. SOLUTION: A computer system 10 is provided with an operating system(OS) for managing the input/output of the computer, a device driver such as a touch panel device driver 31 which is arranged at every input device such as a touch panel 14 and acts as a bridge between the input device and OS, and a registry such as a touch panel setting registry 26 for holding recognition information recognized as double clicks at each input device, apart from double-click recognition information which is set for OS. The device driver recognizes the continuous click operation by the input device as the double clicks, based on recognition information held by the registry and emulates a motion with which OS can recognize as being double clicks.

Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a superior information processing system with a power management function which reduce the power consumption by adequately lowering or stopping the operating frequency of a CPU by providing a power-saving means which places the CPU in power-saving mode for a specific time after the end of a transaction. SOLUTION: The CPU and a peripheral equipment are driven asynchronously and while the both communicate with each other, an interruption request is generated for a handshake and the CPU should respond speedily to the interruption request. The CPU, however, is in a mere wait state for the specific period after a specific transaction ends and the timing of the generation of a next interruption request is previously known. In this wait state, the operation of the CPU is lowered to save the electric power and the CPU is put back to its normal mode before an interruption request is generated to keep the maintainability of the system.
