Abstract: PURPOSE: To obtain a magnetic recording medium with a magnetic layer formed from a magnetic coating material excellent in dispersibility. CONSTITUTION: This magnetic recording medium has a magnetic layer contg. ferromagnetic metal powder previously surface-treated with an org. solvent or a magnetic layer contg. ferromagnetic metal powder obtd. by previously surface-treating ferromagnetic metal powder with an org. solvent and surface- coating the powder with 5-30 pts.wt. resin based on 100 pts.wt. of the powder. The ferromagnetic metal powder is allowed to stand for 1-10min in the surface- treated state before the surface coating.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To obtain a magnetic recording medium having good lubricating property and largely improved durability by specifying the magnetic powder in the magnetic layer. CONSTITUTION:The magnetic layer contains 5-15 pts.wt. of nitrocellulose, 5-15 pts.wt. of polyurethane resin having metal sulfonate group, 2-5 pts.wt. of carbon black having 13-20 mum average particle size, 0.5-8 pts.wt. of carbon black having 50-100 mum average particle size, 3-10 pts.wt. of alpha-alumina having 0.1-1.0 mum average particle size to 100 pts.wt. of the magnetic powder. In this structure, the nitrocellulose and polyurethane resin having metal sulfonate group are used as a binder. Thereby, good lubricating property is imparted to the medium and the durability is largely improved.

Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing a sheetlike article for washing by which a thin layer comprising a doughlike detergent composition can be formed with a uniform thickness and width while maintaining the solubility during the use. SOLUTION: This method for producing a sheetlike article for washing comprises continuously or discontinuously coating the top surface of a flexible support 14 in the long boltlike form continuously running in the prescribed direction with the doughlike detergent composition prepared so as to provide 1,000-50,000 mPa.s viscosity at 10-1,000 s-1 shear rate under conditions of 10-1,000 s-1 shear rate by a prescribed coating means and forming the thin layer 7 of the doughlike detergent composition.

Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To stabilize and improve the quality of a magnetic recording medium by preventing the back flow of a magnetic coating material or nonmagnetic coating material into a hardener supplying pipe at the time of adding an inline hardener to the magnetic coating material or nonmagnetic coating material. SOLUTION: This apparatus is provided with an extrusion type coating applicator 11 and applies a magnetic layer on a continuously traveling base 1 by using the die head 12 of this coating applicator 11. An inline hardener addition system is adopted for the apparatus 10 for production. The hardener forcibly fed to the hardener supplying pipe 32 from a hardener tank 33 by a pump 31 is added inline to the magnetic coating material forcibly fed to a magnetic coating material supplying pipe 22 from a magnetic coating material tank 23 by a pump 21 and after both are stirred by a mixer 41, the mixture is supplied to the die head 12 of the extrusion type coating applicator 11. An opening/closing control valve 35 is installed on the exit side of the pump 31 of the hardener supply pipe 32. The die head 12 continuously extrudes the magnetic coating material with the hardener and forms the coating film uniform in the transverse direction of the base 1 while preventing the back flow of the coating material.
