    Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a purification process of an ionic polymer compound wherein low molecular weight impurities charged with the same signs as the ionic polymer compound such as ionic residual monomers or the like are efficiently removed from the ionic polymer compound in a shorter time. SOLUTION: This process comprises steps wherein (A) an aqueous solution containing an ionic polymer compound and low molecular weight impurities charged with the same signs as the ionic polymer compound such as ionic residual monomers or the like is treated with an ultrafilter membrane and/or reverse osmosis membrane under conditions wherein the concentration of the ionic polymer compound is 7 to 20 wt.% and the electric charge of the ionic polymer compound in the aqueous solution is 0.30 g equiv./L or larger, to remove the low molecular weight impurities and to obtain a membrane-separated solution, (B) the membrane-separated solution obtained through the process (A) is brought into contact with activated carbon, and then the activated carbon is separated to obtain an activated carbon-treated solution and (C) the activated carbon- treated solution obtained through the process (B) is brought into contact with an ion-exchange resin.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To obtain polymer beads uniform in particle diameter by effecting the polymerization of a suspension formed by dispersing a polymerizable monomer with the aid of a dispersant in an annular space between an outer stationary cylinder and an inner rotary coaxial cylinder at a revolution speed to give a specified Archimedes number and a specified Taylor number. CONSTITUTION:The polymerization of a suspension formed by dispersing drops of a polymerizable monomer (B) in a continuous phase (A) containing a dispersant in the annular space between an outer stationary cylinder 2 and a inner rotary coaxial cylinder 1. The above polymerization is effected under conditions in which the Taylor number as defined by equation II [wherein Rj is the outside diameter of cylinder 1; omega is the angular revolution speed of cylinder 1; d is the width of the annular space; and nu is the kinematic viscosity) lies in the range: 1.16X10 Ar+38.8 ; and in the range: 8.12X10 Ar-367 7X10 (wherein Ar is an Archimedes number as defined by equation I (wherein DELTArho is the difference between the specific gravity of the drop and that of continuous phase (A); Dp is the diameter of a drop; mu is the viscosity of continuous phase A; and g is the gravitational acceleration)]. The above suspension is formed by previously mixing phase A with monomer B in a drop formation apparatus 7. Under above conditions, a Taylor vortex is generated to stabilize the drops, resulting in the formation of beads uniform in particle diameter.

CONSTITUTION:The objective monodisperse polymer latex composed of water- base vinyl resin can be produced by copolymerizing (A) 3-10 wt.% of a monomer having cationic group and polymerizable double bond (e.g. N,N- dimethylaminoethyl methacrylate) and (B) 97-90wt.% of a monomer having double bond copolymerizable with the monomer A (e.g. methyl methacrylate), dissolving the obtained copolymer in an organic solvent (e.g. methyl ethyl ketone) to obtain a solution having a copolymer content of 25-60wt.%, dropping >=100wt.% of water (based on the organic solvent) to the solution at 25-80 deg.C spending >=10min and distilling out the organic solvent.

    Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the production yield of emulsion containing seamless capsule by discharging an emulsion containing dispersing elements, of which the average particle diameter is a specified value, from the inside nozzle of multiple nozzles, of which the diameters are successively increased, discharging liquid for film formation from the outside nozzle, forming multilayer liquid drops and hardening them. SOLUTION: While using the multiple nozzles such as triple nozzles, for example, of which the diameters are successively increased, the liquid for film formation is supplied and discharged to an inlet 4 of an outer-most nozzle 3. An oil component is supplied and discharged from an inlet 5 of an intermediate nozzle 2 and emulsion containing liquid is supplied and discharged from an inlet 6 of an inner-most nozzle 1 respectively so that the multilayer liquid drops can be formed. These drops are hardened into the emulsion containing seamless capsule. The emulsion is formed by dispersing the dispersing element, of which the average particle diameter is smaller than 10μm, into an anionic surface-active agent, etc. A film forming object is not specially limited when it is a material to be hardened or gelled by a means such as cooling.

    Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a capsule particle improved in solubility of a coating film, capable of forming a capsule, comprising a specific water-soluble substance in high content in a gelatin in the coating film. SOLUTION: This capsule particle is obtained by blending 100 pts.wt. gelatin with 100-200 pts.wt. of a water-soluble substance having >=25g solubility in 100g water at 25 deg.C. A substance selected from a saccharide, an inorganic salt and a water-soluble alcohol is preferable as the water-soluble substance. Saccharose, sorbitol and glycerol are preferable among them.     Abstract: PURPOSE:To obtain a capsule particle with excellent dispersibility and solubility by preparing a capsule particle consisting of an inner layer and an outer layer having a film forming body and making the inner layer contg. an oily ingredient and a surfactant ingredient and making this oily ingredient under an emulsified and dispersed condition with no water separation. CONSTITUTION:A capsule particle consists of an inner layer and an outer layer having a film forming body and this inner layer contains an oily ingredient and a surfactant ingredient. In addition, emulsifying characteristics of the liq. of the content in this capsule exhibits a condition wherein 0.5g liq. of the content is fed in 2.5l water at 40 deg.C and the mixture is stirred by a stirring condition wherein 3 Y beaker 7 (the inner diameter is 14cm and the height is 20cm) and an anchor blade 9 (the blade diameter D is 5cm and the blade height H is 5cm and the blade width m is 1cm) are used and the upper face of the blade is 1cm lower from the water face and the number of rotation and the stirring time are respectively 150rpm and 30sec and the oily ingredient of this inner layer is kept under emulsified and dispersed condition and is not substantially separated from water at 40 deg.C. The capsule. particle thus obtd. exhibits good appearance, a sharp particle distribution, a uniform film thickness and excellent solubility.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To obtain capsule particles which are seamless and excel in diffusibili ty and solubility by continuously discharging a coating film forming liquid and a water dispersion body contg. oily components and surfactant components from an outermost nozzle and other nozzles, respectively to form multilayer droplets before hardening or gelatinizing the coating film forming liquid. CONSTITUTION:After a coating film forming liquid and a water and a water dispersion body contg. oily components and surfactant components are continuously discharged from an outermost nozzle 3 and at least one of other nozzles 1, 2, respectively to form multilayer droplets, the coating film forming liquid of the multilayer droplets is hardened or gelatinized. Consequently, capsule particles having a seamless coating film and contg. the surfactant compounds and the oily compounds are obtained. The capsule particles have desirable appearance, sharp particle distribution and uniform thickness of the coating film and excel in solubility.
