Abstract:
This invention relates to packaged beverages, which contain the following ingredients: (A) from 0.05 to 0.5 wt % of non-polymer catechins, (B) from 0.008 to 0.033 wt % of sodium, and (C) potassium. The weight ratio of ingredient (B) to ingredient (C) and pH fall within specific ranges, respectively.
Abstract:
Surfactant-containing seamless capsules of the present invention have an inner layer and an outer layer having a film-forming material. The inner layer contains an oily component and a surfactant component. Such surfactant-containing seamless capsules are produced using a multiple nozzle of triple or more having a sequentially increasing diameter. Since the capsules are excellent in emulsive dispersibility of the content liquid and surfactant dispersibility and solubility in the oily component, they can be used in pharmaceuticals, foods, luxury foods, bath additives, detergents and other fields.
Abstract:
A packaged tea drink which contains the following components (A), (B) and (C) and in which the ratio of the content of the component (B) to the content of the component (C) falls within a specific range: (A) unpolymerized catechins 0.05 to 0.5% by weight; (B) magnesium; and (C) water-insoluble solid particles having a diameter of 0.2 to 0.8 mum. This tea drink contains the unpolymerized catechins at a high concentration, shows neither sedimentation nor precipitation even after prolonged storage and has a favorable body.
Abstract:
A packaged beverage comprising: 0.05 to 0.5 wt.% of non-polymer catechins (A), 0.008 to 0.033 wt.% of sodium (B), and potassium (C), wherein the weight ratio of component (B) to component (C) and the pH value of the beverage fall within respective specified ranges.
Abstract:
The present invention provides refined roasted coffee beans having a Hunter L value of 10 to 30 and a hydroxyhydroquinone content of not higher than 30 mg/kg by contacting an aqueous solvent with raw material roasted coffee beans. The invention also provides a process for producing refined roasted coffee beans, which includes contacting raw material roasted coffee beans having a Hunter L value of 12 to 35, with coffee bean-derived extract-containing water selected from water containing an extract derived from roasted coffee beans having a Hunter L value of 40 or more and water containing an extract derived from raw coffee beans.
Abstract:
This invention relates to packaged tea beverages, which contain the following ingredients: (A) from 0.05 to 0.5 wt. % of non-polymer catechins, (B) magnesium, and (C) water-insoluble solid particles sized from 0.2 to 0.8 mum. The contents of the ingredient (B) and ingredient (C) fall within specific ranges. These tea beverages contain non-polymer catechins at high concentration, are free from the formation of grouts or precipitates even when stored over a long term, and have a refined taste.

Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a system for manufacturing easily breakable particles, in which the easily breakable particles manufactured at a manufacturing step can be handled easily and continuously treated efficiently at the succeeding step. SOLUTION: This system is provided with a particle forming vessel 5, a separator 6 for separating the particles from a hardening liquid, a classifier 7 for classifying the particles having a prescribed size and a cleaner 8 for cleaning the classified particles with a cleaning liquid. A rotary cylinder 17 is provided commonly in the separator 6, the classifier 7 and the cleaner 8. The cylinder 17 is arranged to be rotated around a shaft disposed almost horizontally, has a feed blade 22 extending spirally and an opening 32 arranged on the peripheral wall and is constituted so that the particles can be moved from one end of the cylinder 17 to the other end by rotation. The size of the opening 32 is decided so that the hardening liquid and the particles smaller than the required particles can pass through the opening 32 when the cylinder 17 is used in the separator 6, the required particles can pass through the opening 32 when the cylinder 17 is used in the classifier 7 and the cleaning liquid and the particles smaller than the required particles can pass through the opening 32 when the cylinder 17 is used in the cleaner 8.
