    Abstract: PURPOSE:To obtain a medicated cosmetic, capable of maintaining gaseous carbon dioxide at a high concentration for a long period and having high sustaining effects on promotion of blood circulation by containing the gaseous carbon dioxide in water using a specific water-soluble nonionic polymer. CONSTITUTION:A medicated cosmetic containing (A) 0.01-20wt.%, preferably 0.1-10wt.% water-soluble nonionic polymer having heterocyclic rings in the molecule, e.g. cellulosic derivatives, natural polysaccharides or synthetic polymers, especially hydroxyethyl cellulose having 200-2000 polymerization degree, (B) 0.01-10wt.%, preferably 1-5wt.% gaseous carbon dioxide and further, as necessary, (C) 0.1-30wt.%, preferably 0.5-20wt.% surfactant. The ingredient (C) is blended to provide a foamy cosmetic. Thereby, holding effects on gaseous carbon dioxide are further improved. The gaseous carbon dioxide is preferably blended in an amount so as to provide 4-8kg/cm pressure in filling thereof in a pressure-resistant container and >=500ppm gas concentration of the cosmetic just after jetting and >=400ppm gas concentration thereof after 10min.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To suppres secular deterioration performances and to improve recording sensitivity by forming a metal or dielectric material film containing org. polymers of weight-average mol.wt. of 5X10 - 10X10 by 0.001 - 10wt.% as a protective film. CONSTITUTION:The magneto-optical recording medium consists of a transparent substrate and at least magnetic recording film and protective film formed on the substrate. The protective film consists of metal or dielectric material containing org. polymers having the weight-average mol.wt. of 5X10 - 10X10 by 0.001 - 10wt.%. By forming a composite film of metal or dielectric material with a proper amt. of org. polymers by bonding molecules, the org. polymers which make the composite give an effect of producing a dense film having low thermal conductivity. When the thermal conductivity of the protective film is decreased, recording sensitivity of the medium can be improved.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To obtain a sulfonated product from the above (co)polymer in high purity and yield without the need for purification, by sulfuric acid modification of a vinyl phenol (co)polymer through introduction of a sulfonating agent at specified lower temperatures followed by sulfonic acid modification of specified higher temperatures. CONSTITUTION:When a vinylphenol (co)polymer with an average molecular weight of 300-1,000,000 is to be sulfonated in a solvent (pref. dioxane) using, as the sulfonating agent, SO3 or a complex of SO3 and a Lewis base (e.g., dioxane), said sulfonating agent is introduced at lower temperatures of -10-40 deg.C (pref. 0-30 deg.C) to perform the sulfuric acid modification of the phenolic hydroxyl group. Thence, the resultant sulfuric ester is converted into the objective sulfonated vinylphenol (co)polymer at higher temperatures of 50-120 deg.C (pref. 60-100 deg.C).

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To obtain an aerosol hair cosmetic effective in applying a hair-fixing agent directly to the fixing part, by filling a mixture of a propellant and a hair cosmetic composition containing a hair-fixing agent in an aerosol container in such a manner as to be ejectable in the form of a thin jet stream. CONSTITUTION:A hair cosmetic composition containing a hair-fixing agent selected from a non-film-forming substance such as crosslinked polymer fine particle, fats and oils, etc., or a film-forming substance such as polyvinyl pyrrolidone polymer, acidic vinyl ether polymer, etc., or containing the hair- fixing agent in combination with a frothing agent is mixed with a propellant (e.g., chlorofluorocarbons or LPG) and the mixture is filled in an aerosol container in such a manner as to be ejectable in the form of a thin jet stream. The diameter of the ejection nozzle of the ejection button of the container is 0.3-1.5mm. The distance from the center line of the stem-fitting part of the button to the ejection end of the nozzle is >=10mm, preferably 12-30mm.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To develop the title combined plated metallic material without surface treatment for coating by compositely depositing a self-water-dispersible org. polymer having a specified chemical structure in the matrix of the electroplating film of Zn, etc. CONSTITUTION:When the plating layer of Zn or a Zn alloy is electroplated on the surface of a steel sheet, >=1 kind of the self-water-dispersible org. polymer consisting of a hydroxystyrene-based polymer shown by formula I and having 1,000-5,000,000 weight average mol.wt. or its derivative is added to an electroplating bath contg. 10-600g/l of Zn or Zn ion and an alloying metal ion as the essential component so that a total of the components is controlled to 1-200g/l. When electroplating is carried out in the obtained plating bath with a steel sheet, etc., as the cathode, the self-water-dispersible org. polymer is codeposited in the matrix plating alloy by 0.05-30wt.%, and a combined plated metallic material having excellent coating adhesion, etc., is obtained.

CONSTITUTION:An org. polymer having 1,000-1,000,000 mean mol.wt. having at least one aromatic ring, 1-10 hydroxyl groups on average, and 0.1-4 sulfonic groups on average per 500mol.wt. unit, and contg. >=1 kind among phosphoric group, phosphorous group, sulfonic group, sulfonous group, phosphinic group, phosphinous group, tertiary amino group, quaternary ammonium base, and carboxyl group as the essential component is added as an additive into the plating bath contg. 1-600g/l of ion of Zn, etc., and 0.1-400g/l of ion of an alloy metal as the plating soln. for various kinds of metals and alloys such as Zn and a Zn alloy to develop the combined galvernizing bath having excellent characteristics.

CONSTITUTION:The objective cosmetic contains an amide derivative of formula [R is 10-26C straight- or branched-chain saturated or unsaturated hydrocarbon group; R is 9-25C straight- or branched-chain saturated or unsaturated hydrocarbon group; X is (CH2)n; n is 2-6] as an active component. The amount of the active component is preferably 0.001-5wt.% for shampoo, etc., 0.1-20wt.% for rinse, treatment, conditioner, etc., and about 0.01-5wt.% for hair liquid, hair tonic, etc. The cosmetic is preferably compounded with a surfactant in an amount of 5-30wt.% for shampoo, etc., and 0.5-20wt.% for hair rinse, etc.

CONSTITUTION:The anionic, cationic or amphoteric water soluble org. high polymer having >=1 arom. ring per 500mol.wt. unit, 1-10 hydroxyl group, 0.1-4 sulfonate group or 0.1-5 polar group selected from a phosphate group, phosphorate group, etc., is prepd. A conductive base material is plated in a plating bath contg. 2-200g/l such high polymer and 10-600g/l metallic ions. The above-mentioned metal and high polymer are co-deposited on the surface of the base material and is controlled to 0.1-30wt% (based on the total co- deposition). Such composite plating surface is then subjected to direct painting.
