Disclosed is an operating method of a femto base station. The method comprises the steps of: transmitting information related to a first Low Duty Operation (LDO) pattern including length information of Available Interval (AI) as an active state of the femto base station and length information of Unavailable Interval (UAI) as an inactive state of the femto base station, to a terminal; and operating on the basis of the first LDO pattern formed by repeating a first LDO cycle that is a sequence of the AI and the UAI, wherein the information related to the first LDO pattern further includes a super frame offset that is information inducing a starting point of the first LDO cycle.

Provided is a protocol structure for a mobile station, base station, or relay station. The protocol structure comprises: a first function unit which, as a part of a media access control layer, controls and manages radio resources, and which is positioned on a control plane; and a second function unit which, as a part of the media access control layer, controls media access, and which is positioned on the control plane and data plane. The first function unit includes a variety of function blocks for supporting high reliability.

Provided is a group communication method for a terminal. A terminal establishes a group call connection with a first base station which belongs to a group call area, and receives group call data from the first base station. When the terminal moves into the coverage of a second base station which belongs to the group call area, the terminal receives group call data from the second base station, without re-registration in the second base station.

The base station selects a paging transmission carrier for the mobile station from a plurality of carriers corresponding to paging carriers, and transmits a paging message via the selected paging transmission carrier.

The invention relates to a data-transmitting apparatus, which transmits a first control message to a data-receiving apparatus so as to allocate a first carrier serving as a subcarrier to the data-receiving apparatus, wherein said first control message contains information that the data-receiving apparatus requires for receiving multicast broadcast service (MBS) data. After the successful transmission of the first control message, the data-transmitting apparatus activates the first carrier to transmit MBS data to the data-receiving apparatus without the process of exchanging a second control message for activating a carrier. The data-transmitting apparatus transmits MBS data to the data-receiving apparatus via the first carrier.

In a method for setting the cycle of the low-duty mode in a femtocell base station, the cycle of the low-duty mode has a pattern in which available intervals and unavailable intervals repeatedly appear, and the available intervals are set in such a way as to include the paging listening interval of a paging cycle. In a method for setting the cycle of the low-duty mode in a femtocell base station having a service area overlapping a macrocell, the unavailable intervals are set with reference to the extent to which the service area of the femtocell base station overlaps the macrocell. In a method for setting the cycle of the low-duty mode in a plurality of femtocell base stations running in low-duty mode, the same cycle can be set in the plurality of base stations.

The present invention relates to a femtocell search method for a handover from a macrocell to a femtocell. The present invention relates to a method for a terminal that accesses a macrocell to search a femtocell in an environment where a plurality of femtocells are overlapped in one macrocell. The terminal searches a femtocell by using a dummy preamble in order to minimize the size of neighbor cell lists broadcasted from the macrocell to the terminal. Therefore, according to the present invention, an MAC overhead can be minimized by eliminating neighbor femtocell lists in a mobile neighbor advertisement (MOB_NBR_ADV) message broadcasted from the macrocell, and the terminal can search a femtocell with a minimum scanning load by checking only a femtocell dummy preamble in a dedicated symbol of the macrocell.

The invention relates to a service-providing method for a femto cell, which provides a plurality of user equipments with two or more femto services at the same time, and to a transceiver for the method. In the event a femto base station supports two or more femto cell subscription schemes, the femto base station provides the user equipments which have subscribed to different femto cells with data services having qualities different from one another at the same time. The femto cell subscription schemes supported by the femto base station are advertised to user equipments via a PHY-level identifier or a MAC-level identifier. A CSG-closed femto cell provides a limited number of subscribers with high-quality data services, a CSG-open femto cell provides a limited number of subscribers with relatively lower quality data services, and an OSG femto cell provides all user equipments with the lowest quality data service regardless of whether or not the user equipments have subscribed to the femto cell.

PURPOSE: An information obtaining method of a neighbor base station in a femto cell is provided to efficiently transmit a neighbor advertisement message to a terminal from a femto cell base station. CONSTITUTION: A terminal requests neighbor BS(Base Station) information through an NBR-REQ message(S310). The NBR-REQ message includes an RT(Request Base Station Type) field and a BSID field for BSID(Base Station Identifier). A femto BS(Base Station) analyzes the NBR-REQ message. The femto base station includes terminal request information in the NBR-ADV message(S320).

PURPOSE: A location information transmission method of a base station and a device thereof are provided to transmit the location information of the base station to a terminal using the passive different kind access system detection method thereby selecting the base station of the optimized different kind access system in the terminal. CONSTITUTION: A location information transmission device of a base station constitutes the frame including heterogeneous access system information(S401). Based on interworking technology with the different kind access system or backbone, the location information transmission device extracts location information of the base station of the different kind access system in a serving BS(Base Station)(S402). The location information transmission device inserts the extracted BS location information and a BS type to a frame(S403). The location information transmission device of the base station transmits the frame to a terminal(S404).
