    Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve refrigeration capability and efficiency, and reduce vibration and noise when reducing receive heat of suction gas in a sealed compressor. SOLUTION: Since a muffler enclosure 36 extending onto a sealed vessel 19 side is provided the outer periphery of the side face of the sealed vessel 19 side including a suction port opened onto the sealed vessel 19 side of a suction muffler 33 and a suction pipe 37 opposes the inside of the muffler enclosure 36, gas refrigerant from the suction pipe 37 remains once in the muffler enclosure 36 and is sucked into the suction muffler 33 while it has a low temperature, and the temperature rise of gas refrigerant is reduced by the reduction of temperature of the suction muffler 33 to improve refrigeration capability and efficiency. Since the suction muffler 33 does not come into contact with the sealed vessel 19, vibration and noise caused by vibration can be reduced.

    Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the loss of an oil film between the sliding parts of a closed compressor so as to secure high reliability, by making full use of centrifugal forces and hydraulic pressures produced by rotation, even at low rpm of a rotating shaft, for an increase in the oil sucking capability of the rotating shaft. SOLUTION: A horizontal hole angle C, defined by both a line connecting the axis 25ax of an oil-feeding pump hole to the axis 25x of a rotating shaft and a line connecting the axis 25ax of the pump hole to the center 25cx of the opening of a horizontal hole passage open to the outer peripheral surface of the rotating shaft is set at 90 to 180 deg. on a cross section containing the axis 25bx of the horizontal hole passage within the rotating shaft 25 and being perpendicular to the axis 25x of the rotating shaft, so that the rotating shaft exhibits a full oil sucking capability even at low rpm to assure high reliability.

SOLUTION: A lubricating passage 25 communicating with a shaft thrust surface 15 from the upper end face of the flange 9 of a crankshaft 7 is provided so that under an operating condition in which an oil film on a thrust bearing 17 is difficult to entrain, as during low-speed rotation, lubricating oil discharged from the sliding parts of a piston and a connecting rod is directly supplied to the thrust bearing 17 from the upper end face through the lubricating passage to increase the amount of lubricating oil supplied to the thrust bearing 17 and enhance a lubrication characteristic during low-speed rotation or the like so as to enhance reliability.

    Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve reliability in response to the enlargement of a variable operation speed range accompanied by the use of an invertor in a hermetic motor-driven compressor. SOLUTION: In a joint part between a rotary shaft 7 and an oil filler cone 27, the inner circumferential surface of the cone 27 and the inner circumferential surface of a fuel oil pump 28 are matched with each other, and a step difference is eliminated. Since lubrication is not disturbed by the step difference when lubricant oil sucked up by the cone 27 is brought from the cone 27 to the pump 28, an appropriate amount of lubrication can be secured during low speed operation. A lubricating condition can be improved in each sliding part in the inside of this compressor, and occurrence of wear can be suppressed.

SOLUTION: In this sliding member in which a diamond-like carbon(DLC) film is formed on a base material through a substrate layer, a solid lubrication film is formed in a manner that the substrate layer comprises a plurality of compound layers having different composition consisting of carbon, nitrogen and transition metal, layers are so laminated that hardness is sequentially lowered from the uppermost layer consisting of the DLC film to the base material, and the whole film thickness is set to 0.5-5.0 μm. Low coefficient of friction, self lubricity and wear and abrasion resistance that the DLC film has originally can be sufficiently exhibited, and the reliability and efficiency of the compressor and pump can be improved.

    Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent generation of abnormal wear of a connection part between a piston pin and a connecting rod in the subject compressor. SOLUTION: Since a connecting rod 5 performs reciprocation motion to a fixed piston pin 13 at a connection part between the rod 5 and the pin 13, a fluid film caused by lubricant is hard to generate, leading in generation of metal contact at a part of a sliding surface. At this time, a lubricative film 14 having a frictional coefficient of 0.1 or less formed on a surface of the pin 13 and a metal contact part at the connection part of the rod 5 slide on each other, and accordingly the coefficient is kept to be 0.1 or less. As a result, a temperature increase in the vicinity of the connection part between the rod 5 and the pin 13 is reduced to prevent vaporization of lubricant, resulting in prevention of changeover to a dried frictional condition.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To optimize sliding material in a compressor using refrigerant HFC-134a so as to heighten durability by forming a connecting rod of an aluminium alloy casting, and casting a metal foam body, made of a nickel chrome alloy with specific porosity, in a bearing part for a piston. CONSTITUTION:In a compressor using refrigerant 1, 1, 1, 2-tetrafluoroethane (HFC-134a), not including chlorine in a molecule, as compressed gas for a problem such as the destruction of an ozone layer, the other end of a connecting rod 5 with one end thereof rotatably supported to the shaft 2 of a motor is supported by a piston pin 8 as a bearing, and a piston 7 fixed to the piston pin 8 is fittingly mounted into a cylinder 6. In this case, the connecting rod 5 is formed of a aluminium alloy casting, and a metal foam body made of a nickel chrome alloy of 80-98% in porosity is cast in a bearing part for the piston pin 8. The hardness of a connecting rod bearing part is thereby improved, and the quantity of friction in the contact parts of the connecting rod 5 and piston pin 8 is reduced.
