    Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To avoid a danger even when holes are opened due to the breakage or corrosion of piping upon defrosting in a refrigerating cycle using a combustible refrigerant. SOLUTION: Only during defrosting, components having a high boiling point such as hydrocarbon, ether or ketone, etc., are added from a storage device 38 to the ordinary combustible refrigerant to lower the pressure of the refrigerant piping 32. A pressure detecting means 34 or a temperature detecting means controls the pressure of the piping 32 in the refrigerating cycle not to be atmospheric pressure or higher. Thus, even when a failure is generated in the piping 32, the combustible refrigerant does not leak. Further, during an ordinary cooling operation, the operation is carried out by the ordinary combustible refrigerant, so that the refrigerant is suitably compressed without excessively lowering the pressure of the refrigerating cycle.

    Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce an amount of leakage of hydrocarbon refrigerant and reduce a possibility of ignition of the hydrocarbon refrigerant when leakage of hydrocarbon inside of a refrigerator occurs due to damage of piping and the like. SOLUTION: This refrigerator comprises a heat-insulated box 2 having a compressor 9, a discharging pipe 10, a condenser 11, a capillary tube 12, an evaporator 8 and a suction pipe 13 connected in sequence in an annular manner and also having a cooling cycle containing in a sealed state, hydrocarbon refrigerant 14 of a pressure characteristic evaporating at a pressure lower than the atmospheric pressure in the evaporator 8 side; a non-returned type pressure switch 28 enclosed with working gas 29 having a higher pressure characteristic than the hydrocarbon refrigerant 14 and operated in response to a pressure difference between the hydrocarbon refrigerant 14 and working gas 29; and solenoid opening and closing valves 30, 31 controlled by a pressure 28 for a pressure in a suction pipe 13, an outside part of the refrigerator at a position where the heat-insulated box 2 is in contact with a discharging pipe 10 and an outside part of the refrigerator where the heat-insulated box 2 is in contact with the suction pipe 13. When the compressor 9 is stopped in its operation, even if hydrocarbon refrigerant 14 leaks from the evaporator to an inner side of the refrigerator, the solenoid opening and closing valves 30, 31 are closed to make an amount of leakage minimum.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To optimize sliding material in a compressor using refrigerant HFC-134a so as to heighten durability by forming a connecting rod of an aluminium alloy casting, and casting a metal foam body, made of a nickel chrome alloy with specific porosity, in a bearing part for a piston. CONSTITUTION:In a compressor using refrigerant 1, 1, 1, 2-tetrafluoroethane (HFC-134a), not including chlorine in a molecule, as compressed gas for a problem such as the destruction of an ozone layer, the other end of a connecting rod 5 with one end thereof rotatably supported to the shaft 2 of a motor is supported by a piston pin 8 as a bearing, and a piston 7 fixed to the piston pin 8 is fittingly mounted into a cylinder 6. In this case, the connecting rod 5 is formed of a aluminium alloy casting, and a metal foam body made of a nickel chrome alloy of 80-98% in porosity is cast in a bearing part for the piston pin 8. The hardness of a connecting rod bearing part is thereby improved, and the quantity of friction in the contact parts of the connecting rod 5 and piston pin 8 is reduced.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To improve the durability of a compressor by strengthening a vane tip portion by means of a complex hardening film consisting of a ceramic coating layer and a nitrification treatment layer underneath it, bringing this into slide contact with the outer periphery of a roller formed of high alloy steel or the like, and preventing the wear of both. CONSTITUTION:A compressor 1 compresses the gas in a cylinder 4 by rotating a roller 6 fitted to the eccentric portion of a shaft 2 to be subjected to motor rotation while the roller 6 is coming into contact with the inner periphery of a cylinder 4 and the tip of a vane 7. In this case, the roller 6 is formed of alloy steel whose surface hardness shows the value of HV800-2000 and which contains vanadium, chrome, molybdenum and tungsten, or carbon steel or the like on whose surface a nickel phosphorus compound plating layer containing carbonized silicon corpuscles is formed. Meanwhile, the vane 7 is made of a sintered material of an iron system or alloy steel containing chrome, and nitrification treatment is administered at the tip portion, and a chemical compound layer of iron, chrome and nitrogen is formed, and then formation is carried out by administering the ceramic coating of nitrified chrome on the tip portion surface alone.

CONSTITUTION:A plurality of elements 2 formed of an water absorptive material, e.g. hydrophilic plastic, are arranged in an air duct, the one end of the element 2 is immersed in a feed water tank 4, and protrusion parts 2a are formed on the plane, through which air is permeated, of the element 2. Water stored in the feed water storage tank 4 passes through a gap provided by means of support parts 4a and flows through a through-part 3b and is fed to the elements 2. During heating operation, air sucked in a body 51 is heated by means of a heat exchanger 55 to produce an air flow the relative temperature of which is reduced. Meanwhile, water is stored in a water storage tank 58a, and the end part of a humidifier 1 is connected to the water. The humidifier 1 is brought into a water-absorbed state, and an air flow the relative humidity of which is reduced resulting from heating is brought into contact with water, water is vaporized and an air flow produces humidified air.
