Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the over-strokes of a piston from being generated and restrict efficiency from being lowered by providing an inverter control means for increasing the output voltage of an inverter circuit by each reference voltage value if the reference value of the top dead center is greater than the calculated top dead center position of the piston. SOLUTION: In a vibration type compressor, the AC power converted from DC power is supplied from an inverter circuit 25 to an annular coil of a compressor, thereby a piston communicating with the coil vibrates in the cylinder axial direction, and refrigerant compression is performed. At this time, the analog position signal of the piston from a displacement detector 21 is input to a top dead center position calculation means 28, and the top dead center being the maximum value at the upper end position of the piston is calculated here. The top dead center position from the top dead center position comparison means 29 and the top dead center reference value are compared, if the reference value is greater than the top dead center position, a waveform generation means 31 outputs the waveform signal to a base drive circuit 26 so that the inverter output voltage is made greater by the reference voltage.

Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To operate a vibration type compressor without reducing a compressive efficiency by changing the frequency of piston driving force step by step per constant time, deciding a frequency when a current value detected by a driving force detecting part becomes in a minimum level as a resonance frequency, and setting it as the frequency of piston driving force. SOLUTION: When a vibration type compressor is driven, a piston 12 is driven in a frequency from a control unit 18 by a piston driving unit 13, and a piston driving frequency is set as a detection starting frequency in the case where it is judged by the control unit 18 that detection of a resonance frequency is started. At this time, the current value of piston driving force is detected by a driving force detecting unit 15, and a frequency detected by the driving force detecting unit 15 and a current value detected by the driving force detecting unit 15 are stored. In the control unit 18, the piston driving frequency is changed by a prescribed amount, a minimum current value is detected in a stored current value in the case where a frequency is a detection completed frequency, the frequency is decided as a resonance frequency, and it is set as the frequency of piston driving force.

Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enhance the freshness retaining performance of food while saving energy. SOLUTION: The refrigerator comprises an oscillatory compressor 7 having a resonance spring coupled with the shaft of a linear motor, and a control means 13 for increasing the refrigerating capacity by increasing the stroke when the evaporation temperature and the condensation temperature increase and decreasing the refrigerating capacity by decreasing the stroke when the evaporation temperature and the condensation temperature decrease by operating the oscillatory compressor 7 while keeping the top dead center clearance of a piston at a first predetermined value regardless of the pressure conditions of cooling system. According to the arrangement, deficiency of cooling is eliminated by increasing the refrigerating capacity naturally and power consumption can be reduced under light load by decreasing the refrigerating capacity naturally, thereby reducing the input power.

Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the number of switching devices and reduce the cost, by a method wherein the central connection point of two switching devices is used as one of the output terminals of a smoothing circuit and the central connection point of the smoothing circuit is used as the other output terminal of the smoothing circuit. SOLUTION: Switching devices 7a and 7b are connected in series to the output of a smoothing circuit 6 which is used for smoothing the output of a converter circuit 2 and composed of resistors R and capacitors Ca. An output terminal C is the central point of the output voltage of the smoothing circuit 6 and an output terminal D is the central connection point of the switching devices 7a and 7b. Driving signals are inputted to the switching devices 7a and 7b respectively to switch them, and an AC voltage waveform is outputted between the output terminals C-D. Thus, an AC waveform can be outputted by only two switching devices, so that the cost can be reduced.

SOLUTION: A variable capacity compressor 7 and a control means 14 which makes the compressor 7 operate in a low capacity and also makes a refrigerating chamber damper 6 open while a freezing chamber damper 13 is held in a closed state, when the temperature detected by a refrigerating chamber temperature detector 5 is an upper-limit set temperature or above when a temperature detected by a freezing chamber temperature detector 4 is a set temperature or below, are provided. By this constitution, the variable capacity compressor is operated in the low capacity so as to cool only a refrigerating chamber, when it happens that the temperature of the refrigerating chamber alone rises to the upper-limit set temperature or above although the temperature of a freezing chamber is the set temperature or below. In this way the temperature of the refrigerating chamber is always kept to be a prescribed one and the freshness of foodstuff in the refrigerating chamber is prevented from lowering due to a rise in the temperature thereof.
