Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem that a combustible refrigerant is possibly fired when defrost operation is performed under an environment where the combustible refrigerant leaked to a part communicating with the inside of a refrigerator because the temperature of a heater wire constituting a defrost means exceeds the firing point of the combustible refrigerant. SOLUTION: In a defrost means comprising a heater wire 23 of metallic resistor wound spirally, a glass tube 22 covering the heater wire 23, and a reflector 16 placed on the glass tube 22, the reflector 16 has end parts directing downward and the lower end at the end part of the reflector 16 is not lower than the upper end on the outer circumference of the glass tube 22. Temperature rise of the heater wire 23 is suppressed by enhancing heat dissipation from the heater wire 23 to the outside.

Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the possibility of ignition of a combustible refrigerant due to the temperature of the heater wire constituting a defrosting means exceeding the ignition temperature of the combustible refrigerant, when the defrosting action is performed under the environment where the combustible refrigerant has leaked to the section communicating with the interior of a refrigerator. SOLUTION: In a defrosting means 18 which is composed of a heater wire 23 consisting of a metallic resistor wound spirally and a glass tube 22 covering the heater wire 23, the glass tube 22 and the heater wire 23 are disposed in contact with each other, and the sectional form of the heater wire 23 is flat along the inner surface, thus this refrigerator has an enhanced heat radiation property from the heater wire 23 to outside, and also the temperature rise of the heater wire 23 itself is suppressed.

Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress the firing risk of flammable refrigerant even if defrosting is carried out under such an environment as the flammable refrigerant leaked into the atmosphere where a refrigerator is installed by setting the temperature of a defrosting means lower than the firing temperature of the flammable refrigerant. SOLUTION: The evaporator 10 in a refrigeration cycle is cooled through operation of a compressor and the air in a refrigerator ventilates the evaporator 10. The chill subjected to heat exchange with the evaporator 10 is then delivered into the refrigerator. Upon elapsing an arbitrary operating time of a compressor 19, a defrosting means 18 is operated. The defrosting means 18 is heated at a temperature lower than the firing point of flammable refrigerant used in the refrigeration cycle to defrost the evaporator 10 thus preventing uncooled state in the refrigerator due to frosting periodically. Risk of firing is lowered even if the flammable refrigerant in the refrigeration cycle is leaked into the compartment of the refrigerator because the temperature of the defrosting means 18 is lower than the firing point of flammable refrigerant used in the refrigeration cycle.

Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent insufficient cooling of a condenser by removing dust adhered to the condenser or the like, in a refrigerator having a duct provided at the bottom of a body with the condenser. SOLUTION: A refrigerator body 1 is provided at its bottom with a duct 2 having a front opening part 7 and a back opening part 9 and provided at its internal part with a condenser 13, a machine room 3 provided at its internal part with a compressor 5 and an vaporization tray 14, a fan 6, and an auxiliary fan 12. The fan 6 is run, the condenser 13 and the compressor 5 are cooled, the auxiliary fan 12 is run during a stop of the fan 6, and air is caused to flow in a reverse direction during running of the fan 6. This constitution removes dust, adhered to the condenser 13, through operation of the auxiliary fan 12, and maintains cooling capacity of a refrigerator in an optimum state.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To reduce an influence of cubical expansion due to freezing by uniformizing freezing and melting of a heat accumulating material of heat accumulators and making the heat accumulators highly efficient in a heat accumulating apparatus for use with heat accumulating type refrigerators which make use of the heat accumulating material. CONSTITUTION:A heat accumulating apparatus comprises heat accumulators 15 filled with a heat accumulating material and cooling plates 16 which serves for freezing the heat accumulating material. Heat exchange for freezing when the heat accumulators 15 are to be freezed is effected by causing the cooling plates 16 to contact in wide areas with one surfaces of flat plate portions 15b and flat surfaces 15a of the heat accumulators 15, and heat exchange at the time of melting is effected by causing a fluid to pass through columnar projections 15c on the inside of the flat surfaces 15a, which serve for effecting heat exchange at the time of freezing of the heat accumulators, in parallel to the flat surfaces. Upper portions of the projections 15c butt to each other at butt portions 15d to make two of the heat accumulators contacted with each other.

SOLUTION: The present cooking appliance has a cooking chamber holding the foodstuff, a Peltier element and a refrigerating cycle using a compressor. The foodstuff is frozen by cooling by means of the refrigerating cycle or the Peltier element and melted by heating by the Peltier element. Therefore it is possible to easily conduct an optimum cooling speed control and a temperature maintaining control and to realize suppression of proliferation of bacteria and the optimum cooking for each foodstuff by the energy-saving means.

Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To control refrigeration facility in accordance with an increase in the load of a refrigerating chamber without remarkably reducing the temperature thereof in the case where the load of the freezing chamber alone increases when the ambient temperature is low and the load is small in a two-stage refrigerant compressor type freezer having a plurality of evaporators different in evaporating temperature as typified by a freezer-refrigerator and the like. SOLUTION: It is possible to meet a change in load balance between freezing and refrigerating chambers by reducing heat quantity exchanged between the refrigerating chamber and a refrigerating evaporator 3 to lower the evaporating temperature thereof, increasing the intensity of supercooling a liquid refrigerant supplied to a freezing evaporator 1 and thereafter increasing the operating rate or revolution speed of a compressor 5 to adjust the circulation of the refrigerant in accordance with the load of the freezing chamber.
