    Abstract: PURPOSE:To obtain the titled film free from repellency in the acrylic resin coating, whitening, static electricity generation in its rewinding and tackiness after spreading said resin, by coating the acrylic resin on a flexible vinyl chloride film incorporated with a compound derived from adding oxides to higher fatty acid sorbitan ester. CONSTITUTION:The objective film can be obtained by coating (A) an acrylic resin on the surface of (B) a flexible vinyl chloride resin film incorporated with (i) a compound prepared by adding a) 1-5(pref. 1-3)mol of ethylene oxide plus b) 0.1-3(pref. 0.5-2)mol of propylene oxide to (ii) 1mol of a higher fatty acid sorbitan ester. The amount of said compound to be incorporated is pref. 0.1-4 (pref. 0.5-3)pts.wt. per 100pts.wt. of the acrylic resin.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To provide PVC film which screens ultraviolet ray and shows reduced bleedout and improved weathering resistance, by adding specified amounts of benzotriazole deriv. of formulaIand benzophenone deriv. of formula II to PVC film. CONSTITUTION:Samll amounts of benzotriazole deriv. of formulaI(where R1 is H, halogen, alkyl or alkoxyl group; R2 and R3 may be the same or different and are each H, halogen, alkyl, alkoxyl, phenyl, alkylaryl or arylalkyl group) and benzophenone deriv. of formula II (where R4-7 may be the same or different and each H, halogen, hydroxyl or alkoxyl group) are added to PVC film in a ratio ofIto II ranging from 95:5 to 30:70 by wt. The resultant film shows maximum light absorption in a wavelength range of 360-400nm and screens shorter wavelength ultraviolet ray. It also exhibits low-level bleedout and improved weathering resistance.

CONSTITUTION:Two or more benzotriazole deriv. of formulaI(where R1 is H, halogen, alkyl or alkoxyl group; R2 and R3 may be the same or different and are each H, halogen, alkyl, alkoxyl, phenyl, alkylaryl or arylakyl group) are added to PVC film. In at least one of said deriv., R's are halogen ated. A preferred combination is 2-(2'-hydroxy-3',5'-di-tert-butylphenyl)-5-chlorobenzotriazole and 2-(2'-hydroxy-3'-tert-butyl-5'-hydroxy-3'-tert-butyl-5'-methylphenyl)- 5-chlorobenzotriazole in a ratio of 1:4-4:1 by wt. The resultant PVC film shows maximum light absorption in a wavelength range of 360-400nm and screens shorter wavelength light. If also exhibits low-level bleedout and improved weathering resistance.
