    Abstract: PURPOSE:To secure high gas barrier properties, in laminating polyvinyl alcohol type resin films mutually, by wetting at least one of them with a water-polyol liquid mixture to bring the same to a heated softened state before press bonding. CONSTITUTION:In laminating polyvinyl alcohol type resin films mutually, at least one of them, pref., both of them are hydrated or wetted with a water- polyol liquid mixture and brought to a heated softened state to be subjected to press bonding. As the polyvinyl alcohol type resin film, a film composed of partially or perfectly saponified polyvinyl acetate or a saponified ethylene/ vinyl acetate copolymer is used. As polyol, propylene glycol or glycerine is used pref. in a ratio of about 20 - 150% by wt. of water. Press bonding is pref. performed entirely or partially at about 70 - 120 deg.C using a hot press, a heating roll or a heat sealer.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To manufacture a composite film superior in gas barrier properties, by a method wherein an adhesive agent comprised of novolak type phenolic resin and hexamethylenetetramine curing agent is used for lamination of an acrylonitril-butadiene rubber(NBR) sheet and polyvinyl alcohol(PVA) film. CONSTITUTION:A PVA or ethylene-vinyl acetate(EVA) copolymer whose saponification degree is about at least 85%, preferably about 95-100% is used as a film having generally a thickness of about 5-500mum, preferably about 20-400mum for PVA resin. An adhesive agent layer containing novolak type phenolic resin and hexamethylenetetramine is formed generally to a thickness of about 0.5-20mum on at least a one surface of the film. The hexamethylenetetramine is used at the rate of about 5-20 pts.wt. per 100 pts.wt. novolak type resin and an adhesive agent is used as an organic solvent solution whose solid part density is about 3-20%. When an NBR compounded fabric sheet is piled on the adhesive agent layer and pressurization and vulcanization are performed while heating at about 160-200 deg.C, a composite film having the gas barrier properties is obtained.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To obtain a conductive composite material having an antistatic function and excellent frictional wear characteristics, by a method wherein a rubber or polyimide resin with a conductive substance mixed therein is mixed with polytetrafluoroethylene, the resultant mixture is molded or formed under specified conditions, and the molded article is hardened by heating. CONSTITUTION:A conductive composite material is produced by a method wherein a rubber or polyimide resin with a conductive substance mixed therein is mixed with a fine powder or dispersion of polytetrafluoroethylene(PTFE), the resultant mixture is molded or formed under such shearing conditions so as to form PTFE into fibers, and the molded article is hardened by heating. The rubber or polyimide resin is used in an amount of about 10-70vol.% based on the composite material. The PTFE component in the mixture is formed into fibers under shearing conditions, such as by extruding the mixture through a slit die with a contraction ratio of about 50-100 and rolling the extrudate into a sheet with a draw ratio of about 2-3. The rubber or polyimide resin is then hardened by heating to the vulcanizing temperature or hardening temperature thereof.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To give flexibility to compressive load in the axial direction and low friction at the time of sliding in the axial direction by applying extrusion or drawing to a mixture of crystalline resin material and the other high molecular composite to form a cylinder and cutting the cylinder in the direction intersecting the axial direction. CONSTITUTION:At the time of forming a cylinder by applying extrusion or drawing to a mixture of crystalline resin material and the other high molecular composite, fibers of the crystalline resin material are arranged in the direction parallel to the extruding or drawing direction, that is, the axial direction of the cylinder. The cylinder is cut in the direction intersecting perpendicularly to the axial direction to provide an endless packing of a desired form. Accordingly, excellent flexibility is exhibited to compressive load. Further, low friction is exhibited to sliding in the axial direction.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To obtain the title composition markedly improved in gas barrier property without detriment to its inherent flexibility and elongation, comprising a rubber mixture containing additives and a fibrillated polymeric porous body. CONSTITUTION:A composite rubber composition comprising a rubber compound containing additives (e.g., flurorubber or acrylonitrile/butadiene copolymer rubber) and a fibrillated polymeric porous body (e.g., crystalline polymeric substance such as polytetrafluroethylene). This composition is markedly improved in gas barrier property of its vulcanization product without substantial detriment to flexibility and elongation which are the desirable properties inherent in a rubber, and also excels in its mechanical strengths. Especially, a low-strength rubber such as a silicone rubber can be improved in strengths.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To obtain an NBR compsn. having improved gas barrier characteristics, by compounding NBR with a specified dithiocarbamate-modified polymer. CONSTITUTION:The title compsn. is comprised of NBR and dithiocarbamate-modified vinyl chloride polymer or vinylidene chloride polymer. An NBR having a bound nitrile content of about 10-50wt.% is usually used. As the vinyl chloride polymer or vinylidene chloride polymer to be modified with dithiocarbamate, not only vinyl chloride or vinylidene chloride homopolymer, but also copolymers thereof and after copolymers wherein vinyl chloride and vinylidene chloride are copolymerized with 40mol.% or less at least one of acrylonitrile, vinyl acetate etc. are used. About 5-60pts.wt. dithiocarbamate-modified polymer based on 100pts.wt. NBR are used. When the amt. of said polymer to be used is less than that, the object of the present invention cannot be achieved. On the other hand, when the amt. is higher than that, rubbery flexibility is remarkably spoiled.
