Abstract: Disclosed are some examples of techniques for positioning of a user equipment (UE) using positioning reference signal (PRS). One or more units of messages may be communicated between an initiator UE and a responder UE. A unit of message may include a pre-PRS message, a PRS message and a post-PRS message. The pre-PRS message and the post-PRS message may be sent or received using a license spectrum. The PRS message may be sent or received using an unlicensed spectrum. The communication between the initiator UE and the responder UE may be initiated by the initiator UE identifying the responder UE from a plurality of UEs based on positioning properties of the responder UE. The positioning properties of the responder UE may include one or more of a direction, a velocity, a location confidence and a location of the responder UE.

Abstract: Aspects presented herein may enable a transmitting entity, such as a base station, to indicate to one or more receiving entities that SSBs of one or more cells (which may include the transmitting entity) are to be transmitted with modified configurations. The method may also enable the transmitting entity to transmit modified SSBs to enable network energy saving. In one aspect, a base station configures one or more cells of a plurality of cells with one or more modified SSBs associated with an ES mode. The base station transmits an indication of the one or more cells associated with a transmission of the one or more modified SSBs, the transmission of the one or more modified SSBs corresponding to an ES mode at the one or more cells, the one or more cells being associated with the base station or at least one other base station.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A user equipment (UE) may be configured to report feedback to a base station to address polarization impairments in multiple-input multiple-output (MIMO) communications. The UE and the base station may establish a communications link using a pair of orthogonally polarized beams, where the pair of polarized beams may be selected based on a beam sweep procedure. The UE may transmit a report to the base station indicating one or more polarization parameters associated with beam pairs identified in the beam sweep procedure, such as one or more orthogonality parameters, one or more polarization parameters relating to one or more beam pairs, or one or more angular spread parameters. Based on the report, the base station may transmit a beam configuration to the UE for polarization MIMO communications.

Abstract: The base station may transmit a mode switch indication to a UE to switch from a first duplex mode to a second duplex mode. The UE may activate or deactivate one or more antenna panels and the UE and the base station may communicate with each other based on the mode switch indication. The second duplex mode may be FD mode, and the mode switch indication may be transmitted a threshold number of symbols or slots prior to the FD symbols. The slot format pattern may not include FD symbol, and the base station and the UE may communicate bidirectional signals in FD mode using the flexible symbols. The second duplex mode may be HD mode. The slot format pattern may include the FD symbols, and the base station and the UE may transmit or receive signals in HD mode using the FD symbols as the flexible symbols.

Abstract: This disclosure provides systems, methods, and apparatuses for retransmission of a communication by a relay node based on a failure of a target node to receive the communication. In some aspects, the relay node may determine that the second wireless node has failed to receive the second communication, or an upstream wireless node (such as a distributed unit) may determine that the target node has failed to receive the communication. The relay node may retransmit the communication based on such a determination. In some aspects, the relay node may buffer the communication or information used to generate the communication, and may retransmit the buffered communication. In some aspects, a configuration for the retransmission may be modified based on a capability of the relay node or another concern.

The aspects further include transmitting a first signal at a first power level. Additionally, the aspects include receiving first measurement results of the first signal. Additionally, the aspects include transmitting a second signal at a second power level. The second power level being different than the first power level. Additionally, the aspects include receiving second measurement results of the second signal. Additionally, the aspects include detecting an active repeater on the propagation path in response to a difference between the first measurement results and the second measurement results satisfying the detection threshold.

In some aspects, a wireless node may establish a first connection between a child wireless node and a first base station and a second connection between the child wireless node and a second base station, wherein the first connection is an Fl-U direct path and the second connection is an Fl-U alternative path. The wireless node may forward at least a portion of user-plane traffic between the child wireless node and the first base station via the second connection and the second base station. Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A user equipment (UE) may receive, from a serving cell (e.g., serving base station), an indication to update a transmission configuration indicator (TCI) state of a first component carrier associated with a neighboring cell (e.g., neighboring base station). In some cases, the UE may be configured with a serving cell update rule and a neighboring cell update rule. The UE may determine, in accordance with a neighboring cell update rule, whether to update the TCI state across multiple component carriers (e.g., in a component carrier list) associated with the first component carrier based on the first component carrier being associated with the neighboring cell. The UE may update the TCI state of at least the first component carrier in accordance with the neighboring cell update rule.
