Abstract: A method of wireless communication, by a user equipment (UE), includes receiving multiple neural network training configurations for channel state feedback (CSF). Each configuration corresponds to a different neural network framework. The method also includes training each of a group of neural network decoder/encoder pairs in accordance with the received training configurations. A method of wireless communication, by a base station, includes transmitting multiple neural network training configurations to a user equipment (UE) for channel state feedback (CSF). Each configuration corresponds to a different neural network framework. The method also includes receiving a neural network decoder/encoder pair trained in accordance with the training configurations.

Abstract: A method of wireless communication by a user equipment (UE) receives a channel state information (CSI) decoder and CSI encoder from a base station on a physical downlink control channel (PDSCH) or a media access control-control element (MAC-CE). The method also includes training the CSI decoder and CSI encoder based on observed channel and interference conditions to obtain updated decoder coefficients and updated encoder coefficients. The method further includes receiving an indication of resources for transmission of the updated encoder coefficients and updated decoder coefficients. The method includes transmitting the updated decoder coefficients and updated encoder coefficients to the base station in accordance with the indication of resources. Further, the method includes receiving an updated CSI decoder and updated CSI encoder from the base station for further training.

A method of wireless communication, executed by a base station, configures a known payload for multiple UEs and signals, to the UEs, an indication of which physical channel will include the known payload, as well as time/frequency resources of the known payload. The method also broadcasts or multicasts the known payload to facilitate neural network training at the UEs.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A base station may explicitly or implicitly identify one or more parameters associated with a user equipment (UE), and may classify the UE into a cluster of UEs based on identifying the one or more parameters. The base station may determine a customized function block based on classifying the UE into the cluster of UEs. For example, the base station may determine the customized function block based on determining whether the cluster of UEs is associated with a pre-trained customized function block. The base station may then transmit the customized function block to the UE. The UE may receive the customized function block and may process one or more signals at the UE based on the received customized function block.

Abstract: Certain aspects of the present disclosure provide techniques for measurements on a first frequency band applicable to procedures on a second frequency band. A technique that may be performed by a user equipment (UE) may include sending a base station (BS) an indication of the first frequency band, which may be a preferred measurement frequency band. The UE may then measure one or more reference signals (RSs) on the preferred measurement frequency band. The UE may then apply the measurements of the one or more RSs on the preferred measurement frequency band for one or more procedures on the second frequency band.

The method estimates channel characteristics of the secondary band based on the primary band characteristics measurements. The estimating may occur without measuring signals in the secondary band. Further, the method may report the estimated channel characteristics of the secondary band and receive an indication of a secondary cell group, based on the estimated channel characteristics of the secondary band.

For instance, the UE may receive, via a camera included within the UE, an image of the base station. The UE may then perform, based on the received information, a beam management procedure to track a UE beam corresponding to a base station beam, and communicate with the base station based on the beam management procedure.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A user equipment (UE) having partially coherent antennas may be configured for simultaneous transmissions on groups of antennas. To achieve the benefits of simultaneous transmissions using groups of antenna that are partially coherent, without having the transmissions affect each other, the UE may apply a hybrid closed-loop multiple-input multiple-output (MIMO) scheme among each antenna in the antenna groups where phase coherence can be maintained. Following the hybrid closed-loop MIMO scheme, the UE may apply a transparent diversity scheme across each antenna of the groups. Alternatively, the UE may first apply the transparent diversity scheme and next apply the hybrid closed-loop MIMO scheme. By applying a hybrid closed-loop MIMO scheme, and a transparent diversity scheme, the UE may fully realize its resources and contribute to an improved spatial diversity for a MIMO system.

Abstract: Quasi-colocation (QCL) for listen before talk (LBT) procedures is disclosed. A base station having a plurality of antennas may identify one or more groups of QCL antennas. Various aspects provide for different rules defining the QCL relationship, such as base on interference experienced by the antennas, a physical or logical connection of the antennas and LBT coupling, or synchronization. QCL may further be determined across multiple shared channels, such as based on frequency separation or frequency band of the channels. Once grouped as QCL, the base station performs the LBT procedure to reserve access to the one or more shared communication channels. If the LBT is successful, the base station may then transmit a channel reservation preamble on the shared communication channels in response.
