    Abstract: PURPOSE:To improve both recording and reproducing characteristics by arranging closely and integrating a recording magnetic film for recording with high magnetic flux density and a magnetic film for high permeability reproduction and providing a head winding used in common with respect to both the magnetic films. CONSTITUTION:A magnetic film 6R is made of a material such as silicon steel having a high magnetic flux density but comparatively low permeability and the thickness is made sufficiently thin. Moreover, the magnetic film 6P is made of an alloy such as Fe-Ni alloy having a comparatively low magnetic flux density but a high permeability. The magnetic films 6R, 6P are arranged closely, they are bonded integrally via a high resistance layer 7 and the common use head winding 9 is provided. Then the recording is executed by the magnetic film 6R and the magnetic film 6P is used for the reproduction. Since a material suitable for recording and reproduction is selected for both the magnetic film materials independently, both the recording and reproducing characteristics are improved.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To cause no magnetic deterioration in a core due to joining of the core and a reinforcing body, by placing the reinforcing body between amorphous magnetic thin film cores and fusion-bonding the reinforcing body and the thin film core into one body by a solder of a low melting point. CONSTITUTION:A reinforcing body is placed on both surfaces, of amorphous magnetic thin film cores 3a, 3b placed inbetween, and this thin film core and the reinforcing body are joined by a solder 7 of a solder a low melting point. The low melting solder whose melting point is 123 deg.C or 143 deg.C is used. In this case, if there is a problem in an adhesive property of this low melting point solder and the amorphous magnetic thin film core, or an dhesive peroperty of this low melting point solder and the reinforcing body, a material component of this thin film, for instance, a non-magnetic layer of a spatteringing film of Si, or a non-magnetic layer made by spattering, etc. of SiO2 is stuck to the surface of the thin film core, and in the reinforcing body side, too, an amorphous non- magnetic layer can be formed by spattering in the same way as necessary.

    Abstract: PURPOSE: To increase the magnetic permeability of a thin amorphous magnetic alloy plate even when the alloy composition has high saturation magnetic flux density by keeping the plate at a specified temp. and by alternately impressing magnetic fields to the plate in directions which are perpendicular to each other at equal time intervals to heat treat the plate.
    CONSTITUTION: A thin amorphous magnetic alloy plate 1 is put in an electric furnace and kept at a temp. below the crystallization temp. of the alloy and below the Curie temp. By supplying electric currents to coils 2, 3 wound around the plate 1 perpendicularly to each other, magnetic fields which meet at right angles are alternately generated to heat treat the plate 1. At this time, electric currents are supplied to the coils 2, 3 in accordance with timing wave-forms 4, 5 shown by the figure. This method is applicable to an amorphous magnetic alloy having a cooling effect in a magnetic field, and high magnetic permeability can be given even to a composition having ≥10,000 saturation magnetic flux density. Accordingly, a superior material for the soft magnetic core of a magnetic head, etc. can be provided.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To considerably enhance the permeability of an amorphous magnetic alloy material by heat treating the material at a temp. below the crystallization temp. in a static or rotating magnetic field while rotating it relatively to the field to eliminate induced magnetic anisotropy. CONSTITUTION:A mangetic Fe-Co-Si-B alloy is refined, and the molten alloy is very rapidly cooled by a centrifugal rapid cooling method, a one-roll method, a twin-roll method or other method to manufacture an amorphous ribbonlike alloy sheet. This sheet is held by a holder and heat treated at 300 deg.C which is below the crystallization temp. for 60min while being rotated in 5kOe a DC magnetic field with a motor undergoing 20 revolutions per sec. The heat treated sheet is then cooled while being rotated in the field. At this time, the direction of the field is made parallel with the upper surface of the sheet, that is, the surface of rotation. Thus, an amorphous alloy can easily be manufactured which is suitable for use as a soft magnetic core material for a magnetic head, etc. and has high permeability and high saturation magnetic flux density.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To make magnetic path substantially continuous and increase the magnetic flux at the operating gap portion by forming the magnetic head from a pair of core materials through coupling the end parts of the core materials by means of a ferromagnetic amorphous alloy layer at the back gap side. CONSTITUTION:The portions of a pair of head chips 3, 4 other than the end parts 3a, 4a on their back gap 5 side are masked with photo resist or insoluble paint. With the head chips 3, 4 as one electrode, electric plating is applied to the head chips and a ferromagnetic amorphous alloy lear 6 is depositied on the portion of the back gap part 5, whereby these are bonded and integrated.     Abstract: PURPOSE:To form narrow gaps readily with good accuracy and enable abrasion resistance of heads to be made by forming a non-ferromagnetic metal layer which becomes an operating gap through electroplating and binding the same with other core material and amorphous alloy layer. CONSTITUTION:An amorphous alloy layer 3 is electroplated on the gap face 2 of a head chip 1 and its neighborhood and is then polished in approximately parallel with the face 2, whereby a gap forming face 4 is obtained. Next, a non-ferromagnetic metal (alloy) layer 5 is electroplated to the thickness corresponding to an operating gap 6 on the face 4. Over this is electroplated an amorphous alloy layer 7 of the same composition as that of the layer 3, and a groove 10 is formed in opposition to the gap face 9 of the opposing head chip 8. Next, the chip 8 is fitted in the groove 10, and the amorphous alloy layer 11 is electroplated in continuation to the layer 7, whereby an integrated amorphous alloy layer 12 is obtained. Next, the layers 3, 5, 12 are polished and a magnetic head 14 having a tape running face 13 is produced. a suitable binding agent is filled in a back gap 15.
