    Abstract: PURPOSE:To ensure the stable and sure operations to a tape cassette by positioning the tape cassette fixedly to a cassette carrier with the prescribed timing while the cassette carrier is moved along its horizontal moving locus. CONSTITUTION:When a prescribed operation is carried out to a tape cassette 1 with the prescribed timing while a cassette carrier 16 is moved along its horizontal moving locus, the cassette 1 is positioned fixedly to the carrier 16. Thus the stable and sure operations are ensured to the cassette 1. When the carrier 16 reaches the end part of the moving locus, the cassette 1 is positioned so as to move slightly to the carrier 16. Therefore the cassette 1 can be easily loaded to and unloaded from the carrier 16. In addition, the relative positioning is carried out smoothly between the cassette 1 and a cassette positioning means provided at a recording/reproducing part 49.

CONSTITUTION:A tape cassette 1 is mounted on a supply reel table 4 and a winding reel table 5 under the guidance of locating pins 2 and 3. A differential gear device 6 is driven from a loading motor through a reduction gear. One of the output shafts of the reduction gear is coupled with a ring gear driving gear 8 which is engaged with the ring gear of a loading ring 7 and the other output shaft is coupled with a cam wheel 9. When such a constitution is used, the driving device can be miniaturized and, at the same time, the whole device can be miniaturized.

When the loaded disk is to be detached, the clamping member is also pulled up and pins are abutted on cams of the center boss and the clamping member is inclined to the inside of the device and the disk is detached and the clamping member is automatically returned.

SOLUTION: At the time of operating a biaxial actuator 36, force is acted on the yoke 36f in the direction opposite to the drive of a movable part 36c. Consequently, the yoke 36f is vibrated, and although this vibration is transmitted to a glass epoxy substrate 31b, because of the existence of a space underneath, no vibration is transmitted to a sheet metal yoke 31a at all. Consequently, the sheet metal base 31a is never deformed by the vibration of the yoke 36f, and hence the optical pickup 30 is never deteriorated in optical characteristic.
