    Abstract: PURPOSE:To prevent erroneous read due to crosstalk to use the data track effectively, by arranging writing, reading, and erasing heads at proper intervals when the rotary head adapted for the bulk recording system of the computer is obtained. CONSTITUTION:On tape 10, servo track 17 and address track 16 are recorded in the lengthwise direction, and data track 19 is recorded obliquely to the width direction. The tape is wound around drum 11 at approximately 180 deg.. This tape is caused to run up to the object position, and in the static state, the rotary head scans track 19. In the rotary head, reading head 13R and reproducing head 13W are arranged at the angular interval equal to the magnetic tape winding angle for the drum, and erasing head 13E is arranged in the position preceding the recording head. Tracking detection is performed by the oblique-line part of address signals An+1, An, and An-1 reproduced by the erasing head and address detection is performed by center An.

In the wind pulse period, the period for resetting the counter or presetting it to the appropriate value is defined by regenerated synchronizing signal PSY.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To enable the alignment of a transducer with very high accuracy, by sliding and moving the transducer along radial direction of a disc recording medium through a conversion means converting a rotating torque from a rotating drive means into a linear motion. CONSTITUTION:A rotating drive force from a step motor 25 is slided along the radial direction of a magnetic disc 3 for a magnetic head 20 with a feed screw 28 and a stylus member 38. The 1st position detecting means 55 detecting radial position of the magnetic head 20 and the 2nd position detecting means 56 detecting the rotating position of the rotating drive means are respectively provided. The alignment of the magnetic head 20 can be made with the position detecting means 55, 56. Through the combination between the means 55 and the means 56, even if each means has a low accuracy for detection, the detection with very accurate result can be made.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To prevent a mixture of the erasing signal into the write signal in a simple constitution, by providing a short-circuiting means to reduce the impedance of the reproduced signal transmission line between a reproduction head and a reproduction amplifier in an erasion mode. CONSTITUTION:A rotary head consists of the reading, erasing and writing heads 5R, 5E and 5W. A transistor 18 gives a short circuit to the secondary side coil of a boosting transformer 13 when a writing and erasing are carried out between a reproduction amplifier 14 and the head 5R by supplying the control signal ENB to the base. A coil 11R of a rotary transformer is provided between oils 11E and 11W which receive a similar short circuit. Thus the erasing signal is supplied to the coil 11E by a stator, and the counter electromotive force is produced when the leaked magnetic flux passes through the coil 11R. Then the leaked magnetic flux of the erasing signal affects the coil 11W to prevent a mixture of the erasing signal into the write signal.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To eliminate the residual vibration based on a load and the like coupled to a rotor and rapidly stop the rotor at a desired stop position by changing a driving voltage to a low voltage when the rotational speed of the rotor of the stepping motor becomes substantially zero. CONSTITUTION:By a starting command, a DC power source 18 of the rated voltage is applied to the stepping motor 11, and a current is caused to flow through stator windings CI-CIV at the set sequence of an operational command logical circuit 22. A rotational speed signal from a tachogenerator 17 is supplied to a threshold detector 21 through an amplifier 20. At the time of shifting to a stop state after intermittent rotation of the stepping motor 11, the rotational speed becomes zero or substantially zero, and at the time of less than the thershold voltage, an operation command logical circuit 22 is operated in accordance with a logic ''1'' signal supplied from a threshold detector 21, and a drive power source 18 is changed over to a low-voltage drive power source 19.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To increase the accuracy of address data and to make easy the recording, by reading out the address signal with the rotating head in the state of tape stop and determining the address through the comparison of three address data in total. CONSTITUTION:The signal reproduced at the rotating head 12 from the tape 11 is fed to the gate circuit 14 through the reproduction amplifier 13. Further, the gate 14 is conductive with the output pulse from the pulse generator 15 provided on the rotating shaft of the head 12. The output of the gate 14 is given to the decoder 17 and the address signals 2c, 2a, 2b are detected, each address data is set to the shift registers 21-19, and then the gate 14 is closed. The address data in the registers 19-21 are fed to the discrimination circuit 23, they are compared with each other, and when the address data two or more are in agreement, the address data are output from the terminal 26.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To operate and display the quantity of the magnetic tape wound by drawing out the magnetic tape from the other reel while one reel is being held fixed and using the rotating angle of the other reel of that time as a basis. CONSTITUTION:At the time of loading the magnetic tape 4 wound to the reels 2, 3 in a tape cassette 1, loading is performed by locking the revolution of the reel 3 on the take-up side and the rotating angle of a reel turntable 10 is detected with the lead switch 11 provided near the reel turntable 10 of the reel 2 on the supply side and is displayed in a display device 15 by a counter 12 and an arithmetic processing circuit 13 which linearly converts the rotating angle information to the remaining quantity and time of the magnetic tape. Hence, the remaining quantity displaying of the magnetic tape may be performed only through loading operation to the cylinder and threfore this may be executed readily without requiring any special means.
