    Abstract: PURPOSE:To make it hard that a liquid crystal panel receives mechanical and thermal impulse when the liquid crystal panel is attached to a backlight panel or a display chassis and to eliminate the mottle of light intensity caused by attaching the liquid crystal panel to the backlight panel. CONSTITUTION:When a liquid crystal panel 1 is attached to a backlight panel 2 and/or a display chassis 9, cushioning materials 10a and 10b are respectively provided between the panel 1 and the backlight panel 2 and between the panel 1 and the display chassis 9. In the case of attaching the panel 1 to the backlight panel 2, a light reflection layer 11 is provided on the attached part, that is, the part where the cushioning material 10b is attached to the backlight panel 2.

Thus, the write pulse is applied by a short pulse width or a low voltage and high contrast and high resolution are obtained at a low voltage.
