    Abstract: PURPOSE:To enable attachment of parts for nonsplash in welding and besides, improve the accuracy in attachment and assembling by performing selection attachment of the elastic support member of the color cathode-ray tube of a color by TIG welding. CONSTITUTION:An elastic support member 6b for supporting a color cathode-ray tube color selection mechanism 4b on a glass board 10 is attached by TIG welding (15: rod electrode) to a color selection mechanism frame 5b or a support member 7 attached to this frame 5b. According to this method, an electrode and works (spring and spring holder) are in noncontact condition, and besides since they are welded in inert gas atmosphere, splash (spark) does not occur, consequently no dust by splash may occur.

The inner magnetic shield 5 and the frame 7 are thrusted between two ends 10a and the back 10b of the grip and fixed together.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To sharpen the edge of a through-hole and also prevent any pitch irregularity or breakage of a mask material due to its contact with such a member as a carrier roller, etc., by sticking an easy peeling tacky tape to the photoresist on one side of the mask material to perform etching. CONSTITUTION:Photoresist is applied to both sides of a mask material and exposed and developed, and then, burned to tighten a resist pattern by heating. Next, an easily peeling tacky sheet 2 is stuck over the whole area of the photoresist on the fluorescent face side irradiated by light so as to be etched. The rigidity of the mask material is thereby increased by the tacky sheet 2 so that the mask material is hardly bent and resultantly, the edges of slits 1a and an extra slit 1b formed by etching are sharply formed. Moreover, the sheet 2 protects the mask material so that pitch irregularity and breakage of the mask material can be prevented.

In the bottom chassis 6, a low-temperature area and a high-temperature in which temperature is higher than in the low-temperature area are formed by conduction of heat generated by the light emitting elements 11 via the light source substrates 10. The light source substrates 10 that are attached to the low-temperature area are attached to a face of the bottom chassis 6 through heat insulating members 6c, 31, and 41.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To substantially reduce a mask oscillation phenomenon due to an external vibration such as a speaker vibration by keeping the resonance frequency of a mask within a frame non-resonance frequency via the control of the cross sectional area of a mask tape. CONSTITUTION:Regarding the color screening mask of a cathode-ray tube formed out of a frame and a slit type mask mounted on it, a mask resonance frequency is set to be within the non-resonance frequency range of the frame. In the analytical diagram of the vibration mode of the frame proper of the color screening mask, using the modal analysis method, the axis of abscissa shows a vibration applied to the frame, while the axis of ordinate shows a response amplitude corresponding to applied vibration energy. In addition, peak values (1) to (6) in the diagram correspond to the resonance frequencies of the frame. When a vibration having a frequency with the peak values (1) to (6) is applied to the frame, a vibration having a large amplitude occurs. On the other hand, hatching areas (7) and (8) show non-resonance frequency band width and when a frequency within the band with is applied, only a vibration having small amplitude appears.
