    Abstract: PURPOSE:To simplify a servo mechanism controlling the distance between a magnetic head and a disk in a magneto-optical disk recording and reproducing device. CONSTITUTION:An optical head 2 and a magnetic head 3 disposed to opposed to the magneto-optical disk 1 are connected in one body by a supporting member 9. The supporting member 9 is slid in the direction along a shaft 11 by a motor 15 as an actuator. The motor 15 is driven by a focus error signal which is generated in a focus servo circuit 24 and corresponding to the distance between the optical head 2 and the magneto-optical disk 1. By this constitution, the magnetic head 3 is positioned so as to take a specified distance to the magneto- optical disk 1 without providing a special gap sensor or a servo circuit.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To attain the miniaturization and weight reduction of the device by detecting a light beam reflected from a recording medium by means of a photodetecting means and controlling an optical generating means so that the DC component of the output of the photodetecting means may be made constant. CONSTITUTION:A laser beam reflected by a disk 7 is reflected by the polarizing face 4a of a beam splitter 4 and made incident on the photodetector 10. By an arithmetic circuit 11, RF signal is generated from the output of the photodetector 10 and is supplied to LPF 12. By LPF 12, the DC component of the RF signal supplied from the arithmetic circuit 11 is extracted and supplied to the noninverted input terminal of a differential amplifier 13. To the noninverted input terminal of the amplifier 13, a reference voltage outputted by a reference voltage generating circuit 14 is supplied, and a difference between the DC component of the RF signal and the reference voltage is outputted from the amplifier 13. The output of the amplifier 13 is supplied to a driving circuit 20, and a semiconductor laser 1 is driven. Thus, the DC component of the RF signal is coincided with the reference voltage.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To prevent a head form colliding against a megneto-optical disk. CONSTITUTION:An arithmetic circuit 2 supplies an action signal to 8 control circuit 3 in response to the difference between the target value received from a target value setting circuit 1 and the detection signal received from a detecting circuit 6. An operating circuit 4 turns the operating signal received from the circuit 3 into an operating signal and supplies this signal to an actuator 5 via a switch 12. The actuator 5 drives a heed (not shown in the diagram) to keep a prescribed distance from a megneto-optical disk. Then the circuit 6 detects the distance between the head and the disk and supplies this detection signal to the circuit 2. An abnormality detecting circuit 16 detects the abnormality based on the outputs of both window comparators 14 and 15 and then turns off the switch 12.

SOLUTION: In the CLV system optical disk device, the target linear velocity value, which is normally constant, is controlled to a prescribed value in accordance with the situation. In the case of a random access, at the time just after seeking, the revolving speed of a disk is measured, an actual line velocity corresponding to the revolving speed is set as a temporary target value. Then, the value is gradually increased or decreased until the value reaches to the normal reference value corresponding to a desired address depending on whether a seek direction is the inner peripheral side or the outer peripheral side of the disk.

    Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To generate a synchronous clock in a short time by making a PLL operation after feeding a prescribed voltage value in accordance with a measured value to the voltage controlled oscillator provided in a PLL circuit and generating the clock synchronized with a reading signal. SOLUTION: Digital voltage information in accordance with the absolute frequency value measured with a frequency measuring instrument 5 from a micro computer 7 is read from a RAM 8 and outputted to a D/A converter 9. An analog voltage VE in accordance with the absolute frequency measured value is outputted to an adder 15 from the converter 9. Also, the voltage of a LPF 14 is discharged with the micro computer 7. Accordingly, the oscillating frequency of a VCO 16 is controlled with the voltage VE outputted from the converter 9, each of the voltages V1 -Vn is set as the voltage value for generating frequencies f1 -fn in the VCO 16, whereby the oscillating frequency of the VCO 16 becomes the frequency near the frequency of an EFM signal read from a disk 1 after seeking.
