Abstract: Disk drive apparatus for reproducing information signal from a disk (1) on which the information signal and a servo sector pulse are recorded, which includes sampling circuit for sampling an output of a counter (9). A speed control signal is generated by detecting a difference between continuous sampling values, and a spindle motor (7) is controlled by the speed control signal. When the rotational speed is slow, the sampling is performed by a detection output for the spindle motor (7), and when the rotational speed is nearly equal to a normal speed, that is performed by the sector pulse.

Abstract: Disclosed herein are a disc recording medium (1), a recording apparatus and a playback apparatus, more concretely, the present invention provides a disc recording medium (1) wherein a circular track is created in advance to be used for recording data as a groove (GV) or a land (L), said track is wobbled to contain approximately fixed number of wobbling periods as counted in a longitudinal direction of said track, and said track includes rotational-angle marks each showing a predetermined rotational angular position on said disc recording medium. As a result, the precision and the reliability of recording can be attained.

In this manner, it becomes possible to prevent uncontrollable movement of the optical spot and align the optical spot to a desired recording track within a short period of time.

Abstract: A track servo system in a recordable optical disc player utilizes clock signals produced by irradiating a laser beam (P) on clock pits (3) in servo areas as a reference signal for on-track adjustment.
