Abstract: PURPOSE:To obtain the electronic equipment in which an initial position of a cursor is highly possibly located at a required location for the user by providing a storage means storing continuously the cursor position on a display screen. CONSTITUTION:A microcomputer 6 outputs an RGB signal representing a television operation menu and a cursor. A CRT 10 displays a picture represented by a received RGB signal, e.g. a menu for television control together with a cursor 20. The microcomputer 6 stores the position of the cursor displayed on the CRT 10 to a nonvolatile memory 12. Since the nonvolatile memory 12 stores continuously the position of the cursor even when a power supply is interrupted, the microcomputer 6 reads the content of the nonvolatile memory 12 when power is restored later and displays the cursor 20 together with the menu on the CRT 10, then the position of the cursor 20 is a position just before the power supply interruption. Thus, the revision of the user for the cursor position is possibly less and the operability of the user is improved.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To set a standard for the reliability of the stored data by writing the checking data into a prescribed storage position when the writing of data is over to a nonvolatile memory and then reading the data out of the memory to check whether the data are coincident with the check data or not. CONSTITUTION:When the writing of data is started, a microcomputer 2 writes the data different from the check data in plural storage positions. Then the microcomputer 2 writes the check data in plural storage positions of a nonvolatile memory 6. In a check state, the microcomputer 2 reads the data out of plural storage positions of a check data storing part of the memory 6. When these data are all coincident with the check data, it is decided that the data are normally written in the memory 6. If the data are not coincident with the check data, the microcomputer 2 decides that the writing of data is interrupted to the memory 6 and then writes the data again into the memory 6.

The microcomputer discriminates whether or not a video is being muted at present when the cathode current reaches the certain value, and when it is being muted, muting is cancelled, and a value set on a drawing display request flag is detected. At this time, a value 0 if set on the flag, and the display time of the teletex information is set on a counter 6. Drawing display by an on-screen display 11 and the count- down of the counter 6 are performed until residual display time shows zero second, and the drawing display is completed at a time when the residual display time shows zero second.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To improve the operability and to facilitate the confirmation of a selected control function by displaying a control function as a selection object bridging over plural pages by means of scrolling through the operation of an input means. CONSTITUTION:A CPU 23 controls a display control circuit 25 to move a cursor on the screen based on a code signal from a decoder 22, and detectors 43, 44. Moreover, the CPU 23 superimposes a moving display of the cursor onto a menu pattern. A superimposing circuit 26 synthesizes an RGB signal representing the cursor and a display block with an RGB signal fed from an input terminal 27 and gives the result on a CRT display device. When the cursor reaches a final position for the display of the control function, a roller of a roller section 41 is turned, the CPU 23 controls the control function arranged for a 2nd page by means of scrolling.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To control three functions with high operability with use of a single roller by producing the signals corresponding to the direction, the moved variable and the push-in of the roller just with the operation of a single roller. CONSTITUTION:When a roller 1a is turned by a finger, the detection pulses are generated in response to the revolving direction and the rotation frequency of the roller 1a. Then the signals showing these revolving direction and rotational frequency are produced by a 1st detection circuit 3. Therefore a single roller 1a owns both functions of a pointing device and an input device for the controlled variable. Then a switch 2 is turned on with push-in of the roller 1a, and the signal is produced by a 2nd detection circuit 4 in response to the push-in of the roller 1a. As a result, an enter signal is produced with no different switch required. Thus three functions can be controlled with high operability just with operation of a single roller 1a.
