Abstract: PURPOSE:To form easily a tone and a pattern like those of a natural stone such as a granite or marble by scattering a plurality of plastic chips of different softening points respectively on a colored bonding agent layer, drying thereon, heat compressing a film and fluidizing the plastic shapes in the respectively different states. CONSTITUTION:A colored bonding agent layer of substantial transparency is provided in uniform thickness on one face of a transparent film base. A plurality of plastic shape of respectively different softening points are scattered over the colored bonding agent layer. The colored bonding agent layer is dried in the state and the bonding agent layer is fixed. When a film having bonded the chips is heated and compressed, a chip molten material of low softening point is flowed in the specified random fluidized state, and entangled with the chip molten material of high softening point complicatedly to manufacture a surface material for decoration with a tone and pattern like those of a natural stone.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To form the tone like a natural stone by forming the film thickness in the peripheral sections of plastic chips of a colored bonding agent layer thicker than the film thickness of other sections and rolling mainly non-imbedded sections of the colored bonding agent layer on the colored bonding agent layer of the peripheral sections of plastic chips. CONSTITUTION:When a colored bonding agent layer 2 is formed in even thickness on one face of a transparent film 1 and plastic chips 3a and 3b are scattered over the colored bonding agent layer 2, the chips are settled partly into the bonding agent layer 2 by their own weight and imbedded therein, and also swellings 2a are generated in the bonding agent layer by surface tension on the chip peripheral sections. When the same is dried in said state, the thickness of the bonding agent layer is made approximately half all over. At that time, as the drying speed of the chip peripheral sections 2a is fast, a pigment in the bonding agent layer is pulled from the peripheral sections into said sections 2a, and the concentration of said sections 2a gets higher to make the difference of color phase large. The bonding agent layer 2 is dry fixed, and then mainly non-imbedded sections of the bonding agent layer of chips 3a and 3b are rolled, and said rolled sections 3c and 3d cover the bonding agent layer sections on the peripheries of chips.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To provide a tone like that of a natural stone such as granite or marble easily by providing a number of uneven thicknesses locally on a colored bonding agent layer, scattering a number of grains, drying thereon and fixing by contact bonding. CONSTITUTION:A colored bonding agent layer 2 is applied in even thickness on one face of a transparent film 1. The film 1 in said state is passed through over a conveyor belt 3 with a number of projections 3a or through a device with a number of air nozzles 4 disposed thereon to which compressed air can be scattered intermittently by a solenoid valve 5. A number of dotted spots of uneven thickness 6 are formed locally on the colored bonding agent layer 2 by the method. Grains composed of plastic chips 7a inorganic grains 7b are scattered on the colored bonding agent layer 2, dried and fixed thereon. The scattering positions can be at random and can be overlapped or not overlapped on the positions of spots of uneven thickness 6. A film material 8 is manufactured by drying and fixing, and then hot rolled (fixed by pressure).

Abstract: PURPOSE:To produce a flocked product having a soft feeding, by using a water- soluble resin having a functional group as the collecting agent for cut piles and using a material obtained by incorporating a curing agent such as a polyglycidyl compd. into a water-soluble resin having a functional group as the flock binder. CONSTITUTION:(A) The fiber bundle collected by the collecting agent consisting of a water-soluble resin having a functional group (e. g., a carboxyl group) or the fiber tread is finely cut to an appropriate length to obtain cut piles. (B) The flock binder obtained by adding a curing agent such as a polyglycidyl compd. to a water-soluble resin having a functional group is coated on a base material. (C) The cut piles obtained by the (A) process, the common cut piles not collected by the collecting agent, or the mixture of both piles are separately or simultaneously electrostatically flocked on the substrate coated with the flock binder of the (B) process. (D) Drying, baking, or ageing are carried out to integrally cure the collecting agent and the flock binder by the chemical reaction. (E) The collecting agent is swollen, and then the collected flocked piles are opened.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To obtain soft flocked article causing no depilation by plating electrostatically cut piles obtd. by cutting fiber tow bonded with a binder comprising a water-soluble resin on a base material coated with a flocky binder, setting to form one body, then splitting thereafter. CONSTITUTION:Fiber tow bonded with a binder comprising a water-soluble resin having a functional group such a COOH group, t-amino group or OH group, etc. is cut to 1-15mm length to obtain cut pile. A flocky binder comprising a mixture of a water-soluble resin having the above described functional groups with a curing agent such as polyvalent glycidyl compd., melamine base curing agent, or isocyanate curing agent, is coated on a base material, and above-described cut pile is planted electrostatically on the base material. The binder and the flocky binder are made to form one body chemically by drying, baking, or aging. The product is then dipped in weakly alkaline or weakly acidic aq. soln. to split the bonded flocky pile. Thus, a flocky article causing no depilation is obtd.
