    Abstract: PURPOSE:To obtain a composition for sealing a semiconductor, comprising a specific epoxy resin, a specified curing agent, a specific filler, a specified silane coupling agent and a specific solvent in a specified proportion, capable of preventing solids from settling and excellent in reliability of moist heat and temperature cycle resistance and opeability. CONSTITUTION:The composition comprises (A) an epoxy resin consisting essentially of a biphenyl type epoxy resin of formula I (R and R are H, halogen or 1-4C lower alkyl), (B) a curing agent consisting essentially of a biphenolic compound of formula II (R to R are H or 1-4C lower alkyl), (C) a filler such as spherical fused silica, (D) a silane coupling agent such as gamma- anilinopropyltrimethoxysilane and (E) a solvent such as methyl cellosolve. The component (E) accounts for 5-30wt.% of the whole composition and the residual components account for 70-95wt.% thereof. Furthermore, the ratio of the component (C) is 75-95wt.% based on the residual components and the ratio of the component (D) is 0.3-3.0wt.% based on the residual components.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:An electron beam-curable composition which can give a paint film excellent in surface property and uniformity, comprising a specified electron beam- curable compound and a metal (oxide) powder. CONSTITUTION:An electron beam-curable compound of a MW of 280-8,000 having an unsaturated group and an isocyanato group in the molecule, is obtained by a method such as a reaction of 1mol of a diisocyanate compound with about 0.15-2.85mol of a monoalcohol having a radical-polymerizable unsaturated group, or a reaction of 1mol of a trialcohol with about 1.5-3mol of a diisocyanate and about 0.15-2.85mol of a monoalcohol having a radical-polymerizable unsaturated group. 5-70wt% said compound is mixed with 95-30wt% metal (oxide) powder (e.g., titanium white or magnetic substance powder).

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To obtain a tetrafunctional unsaturated oligomer having low viscosity and excellent curability, and capable of forming a coating film and molded article having excellent mechanical characteristics, by reacting a specific triisocyanate with specific monohydric and dihydric alcohols. CONSTITUTION:The objective oligomer having four functional groups (two groups each terminal) and having a molecular weight of 800-8,000, can be produced by reacting 2mol of the triisocyanate of formula (R is 2-8C hydrocarbon residue) with 4mol of a monohydric alcohol having radically polymerizable unsaturated group and 1mol of a dihydric alcohol. The reaction is carried out preferably by reacting the triisocyanate with the dihydric alcohol, and then reacting the monohydric alcohol to the product at 30-120 deg.C in the presence of a tertiary amine, etc. The compound of formula can be produced by the phosgenation of an ester derived from lysine and an amino alcohol, and is e.g. 2,6-diisocyanatocaproic acid beta-isocyanatoethyl ester.
