Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an antimicrobial sheet belt webbing capable of controlling the growth of bacteria even under a high-temperature high-humidity condition and in a repeated use, excellent in hygiene by making warp include an antimicrobial synthetic yarn. SOLUTION: In this sheet belt webbing comprising warp and weft, at least the warp comprises >=30 wt.% of an antimicrobial synthetic yarn such as a synthetic yarn formulated with preferably 0.05-20 wt.% of an antimicrobial component such as silver ion supporting high silica mordenite type zeolite. Preferably, the antimicrobial synthetic yarn is composed of a spun-dyed yarn subjected to antimicrobial processing. The antimicrobial synthetic yarn is preferably produced from a polyester-based yarn having 200-2,000 denier fineness, >=5.0 g/d strength at break and >=10.0% elongation at break.

Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To perform effective utilization of an effective recycle of a carpet recovery article and to improve durability and wear resistance of an asphalt pavement. SOLUTION: A carpet comprising a carpet base material 1 having a tuft sewn base cloth 2 filled with pile threads 3, and a filling layer 4, formed on the back of the carpet base material 1, or the filling layer 4 and a backing layer 5 is recovered and cut in the direction of width and the direction of length to form a split substance. The split substance is kneaded in an asphalt composition comprising an aggregate and asphalt to form a material for an asphalt pavement. The material for a pavement may be placed in a target place and cured to form a pavement surface. Further, the material for pavement may be cured in forms to form a unit member for pavement.

Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To accurately detect a fluff by the end breakage of a monofilament for each traveling yarn in a process for efficiently producing a high-tenacity yarn of multifilament of four or more filaments at >=2,000 m/minute high spinning speed by direct spinning and drawing process. SOLUTION: This fluff detecting method comprises separating a fluff from a traveling yarn 2 composed of a multifilament by its centrifugal force when the direction of the traveling yarn is changed, hitting the fluff to a fluff detection tip part of a fluff detector 13 and detecting the fluff by its collision force. A fluff detecting device (b) having a fluff detecting tip part which is one fluff detecting tip part constituted of plural parts connected in the length direction so as to simultaneously and individually detect a fluff occurring in each traveling yarn of a multifilament of two or more filaments for each traveling yarn and in which each part has a mutually different wave shape of vibration is used. Information for each traveling yarn can be individually distinguished and detected by making the fluff detecting tip part of the fluff detecting device correspond to each traveling yarn.

Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To produce a pavement material enabling the improvement of abrasion resistance of concrete pavement by mixing and kneading thinned pieces of a recovery carpet into a mortar composition and at the same time to enable the effective recycling of the recovery carpet. SOLUTION: This pavement material is produced by mixing and kneading thinned pieces of a recovery carpet into a mortar composition consisting of cement, a small aggregate and water. The compounding ratio of the thinned pieces of the recovery carpet to the mortar composition is preferably in the area of carpet base material 1-side. Further, the thinned pieces are preferably prepared by cutting a carpet, consisting of a carpet base material 1 in which pile yarns 3 are planted in a tufting base cloth 2 and a filling layer 4 formed on the reverse side of the carpet base material 1, in roughly diagonal direction against the carpet obverse surface.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To obtain the subject composite reinforced with fiber of high adhesivity, by treating e.g. raw cords consisting of a polyester and aromatic polyamide with each specific organic solvent-based adhesive and aqueous composition-contg. adhesive in succession followed by embedding the resultant cords in a rubber and curing. CONSTITUTION:Raw cords or fabrics therefrom consisting of a polyester and aromatic polyamide fibers is treated with an organic solvent solution of isocyanate compound as an adhesive and put to heat treatment followed by treating the resultant cords or fabrics with a second adhesive consisting of (A) an aqueous composition comprising a condensate formed by reaction between formaldehyde and resorcin in the molar ratio : 0.1/1-8/1 and a rubber latex in the weight ratio (on a solid basis): 1/1-1/1.5 and (B) a compound of formula I [X and Y is each Cl, Br, H, OH, alkyl, aryl, etc.; Z is of formula II (R3 and R4 are each H, alkyl, etc.;) etc.; n is 0, 1-15] in the weight ratio (on a solid basis) A/B=1/0.1-1/2. Thence, the resultant cords or fabrics are heat-treated followed by embedding the heat-treated cords or fabrics in a rubber and curing under a pressurized steam in an autoclave, thus obtaining the objective rubber composite.
