Abstract: PURPOSE:To efficiently recover solid components and to obtain a large treatment capacity by providing a wave consuming means to the inside of a rotary drum. CONSTITUTION:A wave consuming means such as wave consuming plates 36 is provided to the inside of a rotary type filter drum 14. Therefore raw water is introduced to the inside of the filter drum 14 fitted with a filter medium to the drum and the filter drum 14 is rotated. When the components of liquid are passed through the filter medium by means of the difference of liquid surfaces of the inside and outside of the filter drum 14 and solid components are trapped by the filter medium, the liquid surface of the inside of the filter drum 14 is made choppy with the rotation of the filter drum 14 but the above- mentioned wave consuming means 36 acts so that this wave is destroyed and thereby the solid components trapped by the filter medium are prevented from being washed down by wave. The solid components trapped by the filter medium reach the upper part thereof with the rotation of the filter drum 14 and are separated from the filter medium with a removal means provided to the position and discharged to the outside of the filter drum 14 as the recovered components.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To enhance separation efficiency and to increase the amount of water to be treated, by providing a springboard of water to be treated on the surface of an inclined screen to largely take such a directional component that the flow of water to be treated is availably acted on the separation of SS. CONSTITUTION:Raw water flowed into a supply part 6 from an inflow port 3 is guided from a flooding weir 4 by a rectifying plate 5 to be fallen on the upper end of a screen 1 and flowed down on the screen 1 toward the lower end thereof to be fallen into a water collecting chamber 9 through slits 17 thereof during this time. In this case, because a springboard 19 is provided, the raw water 2 during downflow carries out such movement that it is sprung up from the surface of the screen 1 by the springboard 19 and again fallen on the screen 1. Therefore, a larger amount of the raw water 2 passes the slits 17. In addition, if a buffer plate 20 is provided so as to be opposed to the springboard 19, effect is increased becaust the raw water 2 is almost vertically fallen on the screen 1 by the buffer plate 20.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To allow highly accurate detection of a depression DP, e.g. a mark of bubble, made in the end face of resin agent layer in a hollow fiber module. CONSTITUTION:A light projection unit 2 projects a slit light onto a slit-like part set on the end face C11 of a resin agent layer C1 and the reflected light impinges on a photometric unit 3 which measures the luminance within a window set in the incident region corresponding to the slit-like part for each pixel. The intensity of slit light is set 1-4 times as high as the intensity of light at a moment when the luminance of at least a part of pixel in the window begins to saturate. The luminance of each pixel is binarized at a binarizing section 403 thus detecting a depression DP in the end face C11 caused by a bubble, for example. This equipment allows high accurate detection of a depression in the end face of resin agent layer using an optical means.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To secure a stable operative condition over a long period of time, by eliminating the contamination of the titled apparatus by the solid-containing liquid brought to an excessive supply state by the lowering in the function of filter cloth. CONSTITUTION:The titled separation apparatus is equipped with a solid-containing liquid discharge means consisting of a solid-containing liquid level adjusting tank 9 having a slid-containing liquid flooding weir 8 higher than a slid-containing liquid supply flooding weir 7, a solid-containing liquid discharge tank 14 connected to the above mentioned solid-containing liquid level adjusting tank 9 in the side of the above mentioned solid-containing liquid discharge flooding weir 8 and a solid-containing liquid discharge pipe. As a result, when the treatment capacit of the solid-containing liquid becomes low by the lowering in the function of filter cloth 1, the level of the solid-containing liquid in the solid-containing liquid level adjusting tank 9 rises. Then, the solid-containing liquid is flooded from the discharge flooding weir 8 to be flowed in the solid-containing liquid discharge tank 14 and the flowed out of the apparatus from the discharge pipe 13 of said discharge tank 14. Therefore, even if the solid-containing liquid is excessively supplied and flooded over the solid-containing liquid level adjusting tank 9, the contamination of the apparatus thereby is prevented.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To provide a solid-liquid separation apparatus capable of increasing the life of filter cloth by suppressing the damage of the filter cloth caused by a vacuum suction part without lowering solid-liquid separation capacity and treating capacity, constituted by arranging a plurality of filter cloth rolls so as to match the same with the shape of an unfolded fan to a suction port mounted in the shape of an unfolded fan in the running direction of the filter cloth. CONSTITUTION:A solid-liduid mixture 6 is supplied to filter cloth 1 running in an endless state toward a direction shown by the arrow and the liquid component thereof is collected in a filtrate receiving tank 8 through the filter cloth 1 by gravity and vacuum suction action applied to said tank 8. In the next step, the liquid component in the tank 8 is discharged out of a dehydrator from a discharge port 9 and the component on the filter cloth 1 is carried between a transfer drum 14 and a squeeze roll 15 with the running of the filter cloth 1 to obtain a solid component. Subsequently, the surface of the filter cloth 1 is washed by water spray nozzles 17, 18 and the liquid component due to washing is further squeezed off by a drain roll 9 to again subject the filter cloth 1 to dehydration. In this case, the suction port 7 of a vacuum suction part is formed into a shape of which the width is increased in the running direction of the filter cloth 1 and a plurality of filter cloth guide rolls 10 are arranged to the suction port 7 so as to be matched with the aforementioned shape of an unfolded fan.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To provide a solid-liquid separation apparatus capable of stably running filter cloth in small resistance without imparting deformation even if large force due to suction force is added to the filter cloth by supporting a filter cloth guide roll through a rolling bearing. CONSTITUTION:A solid-liquid mixture is supplied on filter cloth 1 running to a direction shown by the arrow from a solid-liquid supply tank 6 and the liquid component is passed through the filter cloth 1 by gravity and vacuum suction action imparted to a filtrate receiving tank 8 to be collected in the tank 8. At this time, a filter cloth guide roll 10 adds large suction force to the filter cloth 1 but easily rotated by the action of a ball bearing 11 to allow the filter cloth 11 to stably run without sagging. In the next step, the liquid component collected in the tank 8 is discharged out of a dehydrator from a discharge port 9 and the component on the filter cloth 1 is carried between a transfer drum 14 and a squeeze roll 15 with the running of the filter cloth 1 and the greater part of the liquid component is squeezed off to obtain a solid component. Subsequently, the filter cloth 1 is washed from the front and back surfaces thereof by water spray nozzles 17, 18 and the liquid component due to washing is further squeezed off by a drain roll 9 to again subject the filter cloth to dehydration.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To improve the quality of treated water by dividing a water collecting chamber for collecting the water past slits into two independent chambers thereby making the water separable to the treated water of good quality and the treated water of inferior quality. CONSTITUTION:The primarily treated water 2 flowing through an inflow port 3 falls onto the top end of a screen 1. The water 2 falling onto the screen 1 flows down on the screen 1, by which said water is separated and concd. of suspended solid. While the greater part of the water 2 flows down in the upper half part of the screen 1, it passes through slits 15 and falls down into the 1st chamber 11 of a water collecting chamber 8. The treated water 17 is of good quality, is rich and is released directly to rivers. In the lower half part of the screen 2 as well, the secondarily treated water 18 is obtained. Although the volume is small, the water is of inferior quality having a high concn. of suspended solid. Said water is collected in the 2nd chamber 13 partitioned from the 1st chamber 11 with a partition wall 9 to receive retreatment.
