Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the number of light receiving cells and to shorten the intake time of a light transmission distribution. SOLUTION: A flaw detection apparatus detects a flaw formed in a sheet 12, to be inspected, whose light transmittance is at 1/100000 or higher and 1/100 or lower. The flaw detection apparatus is provided with a line sensor camera 54 in which light receiving cells having the area of a measuring region on the sheet 12, to be inspected, per piece at 10 times or higher and 100 times or lower the area of an assumed minimum point flaw are arranged in a one-dimensional or two-dimensional shape and which is used to measure the light transmission distribution, with a second light source 52, for inspection, which is arranged so as to face the line sensor camera 54 and which irradiates a beam of light toward the line sensor camera 54, with conveyance rollers 26A to 26F which convey the sheet 12, to be inspected, in such a way that the sheet 12 to be inspected is passed between the line sensor camera 54 and the second light source 53 for inspection in a direction crossing the irradiation direction of the light source 52 for inspection and with a flaw detection means which detects a point flaw formed in the sheet 12, to be inspected, on the basis of the measured light transmission distribution.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To prevent the generation of various kinds of trouble caused by oscillation during acceleration/deceleration and obtain the optimum thickness unevenness moderating effect by controlling the reciprocating speed performed by an oscillation device into the speed proportional to the sheet material conveying speed. CONSTITUTION:Oscillation for moderating the unevenness of film thickness in raw material 2 is performed by reciprocating a winding-out frame 15 by a hydraulic cylinder 17. In the speed control of this oscillation, the oscillation speed Vo proportional to the film carrier speed Vc detected from the speed of a guide roll 5 and the like is set previously, so that the oscillation speed Vo corresponding to the detected speed Vc is read out and set as the command value of the oscillation speed at that time. The position in the film width direction is detected by a magnetic scale 23, and the actual oscillation speed is computed on the basis of the difference between the present detection value and the preceding detection value. Solenoid flow control valves S1, S2 then control in such a way that actual oscillation speed coincides with the command value.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To enable control into the desired pressing force even in the case of using a contact roll of different self-weight by controlling the air pressure of an air cylinder in such a way as to place the contact roll into the preset neutral position before bringing the contact roll into contact with a take-up core. CONSTITUTION:The position of a roll 13 is detected by a photo-sensor 21 before a take-up core 15 is brought into contact with a contact roll 13. The air pressure of an air cylinder 12 is then controlled through an electropneumatic converter 19 so that this detected position is placed into a neutral position. At this time, the self-weight elements of the roll 13 and an arm 16 are balanced with the force by the air cylinder 12, and the roll 13 stands still in the neutral position. The air pressure in this neutral position is stored as the base pressure, and air pressure required for the generation of pressing force to the take-up core 15 is added to this base pressure at the take-up time so as to be made into the actual control pressure for performing take-up. The pressing force can be thereby controlled accurately regardless of change in the self-weight of the contact roll 13.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To measure a thickness of a thin film with high accuracy by correcting the effect of distortion spectroscopy intensity of an interference light due to the thin film in accordance with the spectroscopy penetration characteristic of a thin film material. CONSTITUTION:A white measurement light from a light source 11 is emitted on a color filter film 5 with a color liquid crystal to be measured, a measurement light which is reflected thereby to become an interference light is introduced into a spectroscopy section 3 to be separated by a plane diffraction grating 34 so that components in a prescribed wavelength range are focused on an image sensor 36 to form an image 35. An image sensor drive circuit 37 reads an optical intensity of the image 35 by each image to transmit to an operation section 4 via a buffer amplifier 38 as a voltage signal so that the measurement spectroscopy intensity F (lambda) is obtained. A ratio (modulation signal) X (lambda) between intensity F (lambda) and an average spectroscopy intensity G (lambda) that was obtained beforehand by the same measurement order in terms of a plurality of samples with thin films of which kinds are the same as the coating film 5 having different thickness, is obtained, then in the peak values of plural wavelengths (maximum wavelength and minimum wavelength), the thickness is calculated from the adjacent maximum wavelengths or minimum wavelengths.
