Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing, in a good productivity, polyester film where a film surface is hardly fouled and surface properties are excellent. SOLUTION: This method for producing the polyester film comprises removing low molecular weight substances existing on the film surface be at least one surface treatment selected from the group consisting of solvent treatment, corona discharge treatment, plasma arc treatment and flame treatment in a step between a cooling/solidifying process and a longitudinally drawing process in producing the polyester film by extruding polyester from a slit-like nozzle, cooling/solidifying it and longitudinally drawing solidified film.

Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a thermoplastic resin cast sheet reduced in thickness irregularity of a specific cycle of 0.2-2 (l/m) and a method for extruding and producing the same. SOLUTION: In a thermoplastic resin sheet excellent in thickness homogeneity, a ratio Pwl/Pwt of the spectrum intensity sum Pwl in a wave number of 0.20-2.0 (l/m) at a time of the Fourier analysis of the waveform of thickness irregularity measured in the longitudinal direction of the thermoplastic resin sheet to the spectrum intensity sum Pwt in a full wave number band is 0.25 or less. The lip interval of an extrusion cap is set to a value exceeding 0.8 mm before a molten thermoplastic resin sheet is formed and, after a molten resin is bled from the cap or passed through the cap, the lip interval of the cap is reduced to 0.8 mm or less to extrude the thermoplastic resin sheet. The thermoplastic resin sheet is produced by this extrusion method.

Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for coating water-based coating material or the like having good productivity and quality such as thickness irregularities during a film making process, a manufacturing method of a film employing the method, and also form a simultaneously biaxially orientated film that combines high quality and high productivity done by the method. SOLUTION: The inline coating method is featured such that after a molten resin film is allowed to be in close contact with a cooling medium to thereby be solidified by cooling and then a coating material is applied to the cooled film surface, simultaneously blaxial orientation is carried out at a high orientation speed of 10 %/min or more in both the longitudinal direction and lateral direction. Also, the film manufacturing method employs an inline-coating method. In addition, a simultaneously biaxially orientated film is obtained by the manufacture, and includes a coating material layer having a thickness of 0.005-0.5 μm on the film surface.

Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the variation in the widthwise physical properties after the biaxial stretching of a film so as to improve its productivity by a method wherein the film is heated by at least a non-contact heat source having a speci fied range between values in kW/m. SOLUTION: As the pre-heating method of a film by means of a plurality of set of rolls in a stretching process performed between slow speed rolls and high speed rolls for stretching lengthwise by means of the difference between the peripheral speeds of the rolls, a method for contacting with heating rolls or a method for heating with an infrared heater is employed. As a heating method for stretching at a desired temperature, the film is heated in a non- contact heat source having the heating capacity of 30-200 kW/m. If a heat source having the heating capacity larger than 200 kW/m, a device itself becomes too large, resulting in making the shortening of a stretching section difficult. In this case, in order to shorten the stretching section, the heat source is favorably located between the slow speed rolls and the high speed rolls. The nearer its location is to the contact position of the thermoplastic resin film and the high speed rolls, the favorabler the shortening of the section becomes.

Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize a high strength film and improve the tearing resistance and shock resistance of a film by a method wherein the relationship between the absolute value of the difference between the longitudinal refractive index and the lateral one of at least one layer of thermoplastic resin films and the absolute value of the difference between the longitudinal refractive index and the lateral one of the whole films is specified. SOLUTION: The laminated film is made of thermoplastic resin and formed by laminating at lest two layers or more of the film in the direction of its thickness. In this case, the absolute value of the difference between the longitudinal refractive index and the lateral one of at least one layer of the laminated film is set to be larger than the absolute value of the difference between the longitudinal refractive index and the lateral one of the whole films by 0.02 or more. The preferable number of layers is 3-200 layers, especially 5-64 layers. As the technique of the above-mentioned lamination, a melt and simultaneous extrusion method through a die under the state of respective layers being laminated by a coextrusion method such as a multimanifold die method, a feed block method or a static mixer method is preferable.
