Abstract: PURPOSE:To provide the filter cloth for a dehydrator high in treating capacity per a unit time and capable obtaining excellent transferability in applying the same to a belt press type dehydrator, by using a knitted fabric having piles inclined to one direction. CONSTITUTION:Filter cloth comprises a knitted fabric having loop shaped piles 1 inclined to one direction provided to the surface thereof. Each pile 1 is formed into a loop shape or a cut shape. The wt. thereof is 50-1,500g/m and the thickness thereof is 0.1-7mm.. The inclination degree of the pile is about 20- 70 deg. with respect to a base fabric surface. The constitutional fiber thereof is pref. the multifilament of synthetic fiber comprising polyamide, polyester, polyvinyl alcohol, polypropylene or polyacrilonitrile from the reason of durability and releasability of a solid component. As the kind of a knitting method, a rib stitch, an interlock stitch, a half tricot stitch or a Queens code knitting are employed.

Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a solid-liquid separation method and a solid-liquid separation apparatus with which solid matter separation can economically be carried out at improved precision while prolonging the life of the filter medium in a rotary drum type filtration apparatus in which the filter medium is mounted. SOLUTION: This solid-liquid separation method includes processes of carrying out solid-liquid separation of a raw liquid by passing the raw liquid from the outside to the inside while rotating the filtration drum 9 equipped with a filter medium 11, back-washing the filter medium 11 by jetting washing water from the rear side, and front-washing the filter medium 11 from the front side. In the method, at least the washing from the front side is carried out and stopped corresponding to the water level in the drum. This apparatus is provided with a rotation filtration drum 9 equipped with the filter medium 11, a back- washing means for jetting washing water from the rear side of the filter medium 11, a front-washing means for jetting washing water from the front side of the filter medium 11, and a switching control means for operating or stopping at least the front-washing means corresponding to the water level in the filtration drum 9.

Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To highly improve efficiency of recovering squeezed cake by providing a front side surface and a back side face of a solid-liquid separating filtering cloth for lowering water content of clay-like dehydrated cake to obtain squeezed cake with different cake-removing strength. SOLUTION: This solid-liquid separating filtering cloth 1 is pulled out from a rewinding roll 2 and material to be squeezed (sludge) 3 in a material-to-be-squeezed tank is supplied to a front side face 1A of the filtering cloth 1 via a material-to-be-squeezed feeding device 5 as the filtering cloth 1 moves in a direction of an arrow. After the filtering cloth 1 passes through lower filtering cloth guiding rolls 6, 9, thickness of the material-to-be-squeezed 3 is made constant by a material-to-be-squeezed thickness adjusting guide 10, and then the material to be squeezed is wound on a pressing reel shaft 11 as a squeezed reel 12. After winding has finished, the pressing reel 12 is inserted into a pressurizing drum and the material to be squeezed 3 is squeezed through a flexible elastic membrane to produce squeezed cake with a low water content. After pressing is finished, a scraper 7 is used to scrape squeezed cake in the process of returning the filtering cloth to a rewinding reel and the squeezed cake is recovered in a recovering hopper.
