Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the function by forming a slope of a base and an artificial lawn made of the prescribed resin foamed body. SOLUTION: An artificial ski slope G is formed by adhering an inclined structural base 1 in which polystyrene foamed bodies 2 which are blocks of thermoplastic resin are joined with each other to an artificial lawn 3 lined with a thermoplastic resin foamed body sheet 4. The foamed body 2 is 5-0.2 kg/cm in compression hardness in accordance with JIS K-6267, 8-40 kg/m in density in accordance with JIS K-7222, 0.2-3.5 kgf/cm in compression strength at 5% compression strain in accordance with JIS K-7220, and 25-55% in repulsive elasticity in accordance with ASTM D-1564. The expansion ratio is 20-90 times. The sheet 4 is 0.25-3 kg/cm in compression hardness in accordance with JIS K-6267, and 10-60 in expansion ratio. The lawn 3 is formed of ethylene-α-olefin copolymer containing α-olefin of >=4 in carbon number, and 110-130 deg.C in melting point, and 1-5 μm in grain size, and the ski slope G is 18-38% in repulsive elasticity. The cushioning property, the wear resistance, the safety, and the durability can be improved thereby.

Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an artificial lawn excellent in both wear resistance and flexibility by constituting at least the leaf part of the artificial lawn from a polyamide resin containing a polyethylene copolymer having a straight chain side chain obtained by copolymerizing α-olefin. SOLUTION: After a T-die film or inflation film is formed by use of a polyamide resin, ethylene-α-olefin copolymer of a straight chain low density polyethylene copolymer is added in order to facilitate slitting or splitting, instead of the addition of a low density polyethylene which was used in the past. The ethylene-α-olefin copolymer is formed of a polymer having a structure in which the part of α-olefin is suspended from the side chain of polyethylene straight chain form, which exhibits excellent characteristics of environmental stress crack resistance, shearing strength, impact strength, and cold resistance, compared with both low density polyethylene and high density polyethylene.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To economically and easily produce a molded floor covering of polyolefin polymer excellent in fatigue resistance and dimensional stability. CONSTITUTION:This floor covering is formed from a polyolefin polymer having a gel fraction of at least 1%. It is produced by a process comprising molding and fabricating a polyolefin polymer and then irradiating the molding with electron beams to give a gel fraction of at least 1%, or preparing a blend polymer that will have a gel fraction after molding of at least 1% by mixing a polyolefin polymer with an organosilane-modified polymer and a catalyst that accelerates crosslinking, molding and fabricating the blend polymer, and then bringing it into contact with water to effect crosslinking.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To prevent athletes from being injured by a method wherein a maximum water absorbing amount is specified and water absorptive resin particles to absorb and discharge moisture according to the change of humidity are sprayed between artificial lawns. CONSTITUTION:Water absorptive resin particles 6, such as starch acrylic acid salt graft copolymer crosslinked substance, which has a maximum water absorbing amount, measured according to JIS-K-6767, being 100-1000 times as large as a dead weight and absorbs and discharges moisture according to the humidity change of surroundings are provided. The particle 6 are then sprayed in the lawn meshes of an artificial lawn 1 adhered to a bed base material 2. During use, the end part of each leaf-form pile 5 of a lawn 1 is rounded and the resin 6 is concealed. Jumping out to the surface of the lawn 1 is prevented from occurring and the holding moisture content of the particles is protected. Thus the lawn is hard to dry. Further, the artificial lawn may forms a sand-contained artificial lawn by mixing sand in the particles 6. This constitution prevents the occurrence of scratch and burn even when a player slips and tumbles down.
