The artificial lawn formed thereby 6 is excellent in wear resistance, anti-fibrile finish characteristic, thereby improving its durability, cushioning performance and looking, and furthermore it can be thrown into a depolymerization process as recycled material and recycled easily by simply crushing and if necessary by washing it and can be converted into ε-caprolactam of rough law material for nylon 6 with high purity.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To obtain artificial rush closely resembling high-quality natural rush by clearing away artificial touch such as 'shiners' and 'waxy feeling' of conventional artificial rush. CONSTITUTION:The objective artificial rush is a wiry material prepared by covering an inner layer in which films 1 composed of a thermoplastic resin are randomly folded up with a resin coating film 2 or an expanded resin coating film 3. Furthermore, this artificial rush is a wiry material obtained by covering the inner layer in which the films composed of the thermoplastic resin are randomly folded up with the film of a thermoplastic resin different from the thermoplastic resin. The objective method for producing the artificial rush is to bundle the films composed of the thermoplastic resin, pass the bundled films through a nipple part, then cover the bundled films with a polymer fed from a position between the nipple part and a die and provide one wiry material.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To receive a distinct image causing no disturbance in a transmitted image in optical communication by forming a sheet of optical fiber having a sea-island structure forming a core of the optical fiber of plural island components by fuse-welding the sea component between plural number of the optical fiber to an adjacent sea component to each other, thereby fixing the relative position of the island component invariably independently of the direction of the axis of a cable. CONSTITUTION:A sheet of optical fiber is formed in optical fiber 1a, 1b, 1c... having a sea- island structure wherein the core of the optical fiber is constituted of plural island components, by fuse-welding adjacent sea components to each other between the optical fiber, and the relative position of the island components is fixed independently of the direction of the axis of a cable. Plural island parts 2a, 2b, 2c... in the sea-island structure of each optical fibers 1a, 1b, 1c... are constituted of a polymer having higher refractive index than the material for the sea part 3, so light is transmitted through the island parts 2a, 2b, 2c.... The polymer constituting the island parts 2a, 2b, 2c... may be a transparent polymer having higher refractive index than the polymer for the sea part 3. Polymethyl methacrylate, copolymers consisting primarily of polymethyl methacrylate, polystyrene, and copolymers of styrene, polycarbonate, etc. are preferred. By this constitution, a distinct image is obtd. without causing disturbance in the image, and an optical fiber sheet suitable for light transmission is provided.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To prevent the deterioration in transmittance by providing a measuring gear and providing polymer leak grooves which are communicated to the sliding part with said measuring gear and to the sliding part with a driving shaft, on a bearing part which slides with the measuring gear and, further, providing a polymer discharge flow passage communicated to the leak groove and a discharge port connected to said discharge flow passage. CONSTITUTION:A polymer/monomer mixed liquid flows in from the arrow direction and is measured and conveyed downward by means of a measuring and conveying device. Gears 1a, 1b are driven by a motor via a driving shaft 4a. The driving shaft 4a is held, made slide, and rotated, by bearing parts 2a, 2b. Here, fine grooves 3 are formed on the contacting faces 19 between the side faces of the gears 1a, 1b and the bearing parts 2a, 2b, and on the bearing parts at the sliding parts with the driving shaft 4a, allowing the polymer/ monomer mixed liquid to flow through the fine grooves of the bearings, to lubricate the shaft. Thereby, the mixed liquid which finished lubricating is again returned to the fine grooves, preventing the mixed liquid as a whole from returning to a main flow, and making it flow into a polymer flow passage 6. Thereby, the mixing in of dust due to sliding can be prevented.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To uniformize the light transmissivity by using a converging guide to bring plural stages of fibers spun out from spinning nozzles and fusion-fixing them to converge them into one sheet. CONSTITUTION:Plural stages of optical fibers 3 spun out from a spinning nozzle 1 where discharge ports 2 are zigzag arranged in plural stages on a plane and respective stages of all discharge ports 2 do not overlap on a side face are brought into contact with one another and are fusion-fixed to each other with a converging guide 5 and are converged into one optical fiber sheet 4. With respect to the converging guide 5, a cooled narrow bar-shaped body is worked into an arc and has the surface subjected to the surface smoothing work such as specular working, chromium plating, 'Teflon(R)' impregnation working, or the like. Thus, the light transmissivity is uniformized.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To smoothly feed a powder and grain body without causing a bridging pehnomenon by providing a stirring arm on the rotary shaft in a hopper while forming a screw having a cut-out part, etc. in the direction of scraping up said powder and grain body with respect to its rotating direction. CONSTITUTION:A hopper 2 for feeding a powder and grain body of a high polymer is installed on an extruder 1 which is a user via a feed passage 3. In the hopper 2, a feeding part 8 for the powder and grain body is provided on the upper part while a rotary shaft 5 driven by a motor 4 is provided inside it. And, a screw 6 is formed on the rotary shaft 5 from the middle part to the end art, while a stirring arm 7 which is rotated in the vicinity of the inner wall of the hopper 2 is installed on the rotary shaft 5. The screw 6 is formed spirally in the direction of scraping up the powder and grain body with respect to the rotating direction, and a cut-out part 6a, etc. is provided on the screw 6. Thereby, the powder and grain body can be smoothly fed without causing a bridging phenomenon even when the feed passage 3 may be long or thin.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To make the throughput from an extrusion head constant, by providing a pressure gauge near a branching point communicating from a connecting pipe between a vented extruder and an extrusion head to a polymer discharge means and controlling the amount to be discharged from the polymer discharging means according to the pressure. CONSTITUTION:An extrusion apparatus of a molten resin for feeding a melt of a mixture of a polymer with a monomer after continuous polymerization or a polymer melt, containing a small amount of a solvent and obtained by desolvating a polymer solution to a vented extruder 3, discharging the monomer or solvent from vent holes 4 and extruding the polymer from the connecting pipe 5 through a metering pump 7 and extrusion head 12. A branching passage 6 is provided in the course of the connecting pipe 5 to connect to the polymer discharging means 8 and a pressure sensor 9 is provided near a branching point 13. When the pressure sensor 9 detects that variation in extrusion through the extruder 3 becomes >=3%, the pressure in the connecting pipe 5, i.e. back pressure of the extrusion head 12, is kept constant by the polymer discharging means 8.
