    Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an artificial lawn structural body giving proper resilience on the ball of hockey or baseball by using a sheet-like matter containing isoprene isobutylene rubber-base rubber chips as a cushion material. SOLUTION: After primer 2 is applied on a substrate bedrock 1 such as asphalt concrete, a cushion material 3 is placed to be adhered and fixed by using an adhesive 6. Next, a binder 4 is used to adhere an artificial lawn 5 on the cushion material layer 3. In a construction method, a sheet-like matter containing isoprene isobutylene rubber-(IIR) based rubber chips are used. The artificial lawn structural body gives proper resilience to the ball in a hockey stadium and a baseball stadium, is inexpensive, excellent in durability and easy in execution.

    Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain artificial lawn excellent for water permeability, cushioning ability, electrostatic property and flexibility by filling fine sand soil containing a predetermined percentage of granular material containing fused slag from incineration ash into the lawn blades of artificial lawn laid on an athletic field or the like. SOLUTION: At least one selected from fused slag of sludge, iron and steel and incineration ash of various wastes is used, and a granular substance with a mean grain size of 0.15 to 1.70 mm is formed by air cooling or water cooling. This granular substance is mixed with ordinary sand (fine sand soil) in the range of 10 to 70 wt.% and is filled in the seams of artificial lawns. Also, the weeding effect can be enhanced by giving a water repellent compound consisting of a silicone-based compound or fluorine-based compound to the sand. In addition, a hardener or cross linking agent may be added to the above. In this way, artificial lawn structural bodies and athletic fields having excellent weeding effect and mobility without breeding of fungi can be obtained.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To improve performance by adding a specified quantity of a blocking preventing agent and a resin aqueous emulsion having a specified resin solid component to a sand raised in temperature to a specified temperature to partially adhere a specified quantity of the resin to the sand, and charging it into a lawn mesh. CONSTITUTION:A cross-linking resin aqueous emulsion having 0.5-5 wt.% to sand of a resin component is provided. A blocking preventing agent consisting of 0.001-5 wt.% to sand of a higher fatty acid or its salt is provided. Then, the resin aqueous emulsion and the blocking preventing agent are added to a sand 1 dried and raised in temperature to a temperature of 100-15O deg.C while stirring in a mixer, and 0.05-5 wt.% to the sand of a resin 2 is partly adhered thereto. The resulting sand is spread into the lawn mesh of an artificial lawn structure body in a determined thickness. Thus, cushion property and softness can be given to the ground to prevent injuries of a foot and the waist.

    Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To effectively bring out merits of piles and increase abrasion-resistance and durability by implanting nylon piles and polyester piles at random to form artificial turf. SOLUTION: Artificial turf 2 is laid on a base 1 having a impervious structure and fine sand 3 is filled around the turf. Nylon piles 4 and polyester piles 5 are mixed at an optional ratio to constitute the artificial turf as mixed tufts. When nylon piles 4 and polyester piles 5 are mutually twisted together to form mixed tufts, both piles are cut to have almost the same height and the front ends of polyester piles 5 are trodden and appropriately curled to prevent the sand 3 from excessively scattering. The nylon piles 4 bring out a preventive function against wear or the polyester piles 5. In this time, if softness and abrasion-resistance are regarded as important points, the ratio of nylon piles is increased.
