Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To extremely improve the weatherability of an overlay film, and also improve the transparency, antiblocking property, and abrasion resistivity thereof by forming a surface layer being H or more in pencil hardness and having weatherability on at least one surface of a thermoplastic film. SOLUTION: A surface hardness layer being H or more in pencil hardness and having weatherability is formed on at least one surface of a thermoplastic film. A polyester film is most suitable for such a thermoplastic film in terms of mechanical strength, dimensional stability, transparency, or the like. The surface hardness layer being H or more in pencil hardness and having weatherability can be formed, e.g. with benzotriazole-based monomer copolymeric acryl resin or the like. The resin is obtained by a copolymerization of bezotriazole-based monomer and acrylic monomer. The benzotriazole-based reactive monomer is preferably is 2-(2,-hydrox 5,-methacryloxyethylphenyl)-2H- benzotriazole.

Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent transparency and haze from deteriorating owing to the generation of whitening and a crack by providing a laminated coating obtained by copolymerizing a benzotriazole reactive ultraviolet absorber with a plurality of acrylic monomers, at least, on one of the faces of polyester film. SOLUTION: A layer made up of a resin layer obtained by copolymerizing a benzotriazole reactive ultraviolet absorber with at least, two or more different types of acrylic monomer, is formed, at least, on one of the faces of the polyester film. The benzotriazole reactive ultraviolet absorber to be used is 2-2'- hydroxy 5' methacryloxyethylphenyl 2H benzotriazole. Especially methyl methacrylate is used as one of the two or more different types of acrylic monomer and the monomers other than the methyl methacrylate are preferably acrylic acid, butyl acrylate, 2-hydroxyethyl methacrylate and glycidyl methacrylate.

Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable a process in which the charge voltage of a surface to be mold-released after a mold releasing film being peeled off is low and the adhe sion of dust, etc., is prevented by making a mold release layer contain a silicone composition as a main component and a composition containing fluorine. SOLUTION: In a mold releasing film in which a mold release layer is formed at least on one side of a plastic film, the mold release layer is constituted from a layer which contains a silicone composition as a main component and a composition containing fluorine. The mold release layer forming surface of the film can be subjected to varous methods of treatment to improve adhesion to the mold release layer including corona treatment in an optional atmosphere of air, nitrogen gas, carbon dioxide gas, etc., and anchor treatment. Anchor treatment with the use of a radical coupling agent and others are effective in particular. The mold release layer, when used as a mold release film, is constituted from a composition which reduces the charge voltage of a surface to be released.

Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make the weatherability, transparency, scratch resistance of a laminated film improve and to give a bedewing preventing property by a method in which a surface curing layer which contains an ultraviolet absorbent and has specified hardness is formed on one side of a thermoplastic film, and a hydrophilic treatment layer having a specified contact angle with water is formed on the other side. SOLUTION: A surface curing layer which contains an ultraviolet absorbent and has pencil hardness of at least H is formed on one side of a thermoplastic film, and a hydrophilic treatment layer having a contact angle with water of at least 60 degree is formed on the other side. A polyester film is preferable for the thermoplastic film, a benzotriazole type is preferable for the ultraviolet absorbent, and the surface curing layer preferably contains the reaction product between multifunctional acrylate and benzotriazole type monomer containing unsaturated linkage as a main component. The hydrophilic treatment layer contains the ultraviolet absorbent, and the thermal shrinkage percentage in the width direction at 120 deg.C for 5min of the laminated film is preferably 4-60%.

Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a layered film with excellent weatherability, transparency and blocking resistance by laminating a layer consisting of benzotriazole-based monomer copolymerized acrylic resin on the single surface of thermoplastic resin film whose average roughness in the center line is specified. SOLUTION: A layer consisting of benzotriazole-based monomer copolymerized acrylic resin is laminated on one surface of thermoplastic resin film whose average roughness in the center line is 0.01-0.3μm. As one example, with bioxially oriented polyethylene terephthalate film (150μm in thickness) taken as base element film, coating liquid is applied to its one surface so that thickness after the coating may be 5μm, and it is dried at 120 deg.C for two minutes to obtain a layered film. The coating liquid to be used is a butyl acetate solution of solid component 30% of 2-(2,-hydroxy 5,-methacryloxyetylphenyl)-2H- benzotriazole/methyl methacrylate (copolymer of 30/70 weight %).

Abstract: PURPOSE:To produce a metal vapor deposition film excellent in gas barrier property by pretreating a plastic film with CO2 low temp. plasma atmosphere when a metal vapor deposition film is to be formed on the surface of the plastic film. CONSTITUTION:A plastic film 5 such as polyethylene having 3-200mum thickness is unwound from an unwinding roll 2 in a vacuum chamber 1, wound on a drum 3, and heated at 30-60 deg.C, while metal 7 such as Al, Zn, Mg, and Sn in a crucible 6 is vaporized to form a metal vapor deposition film on the surface of the film 5. In this process, the surface of the film 5 before vapor deposition of metal is subjected to low temp. plasma treatment in a electrode cover 9 to which Co2 gas is supplied from a cylinder 11 of CO2. The plasma is generated in Pa pressure CO2 atmosphere with an energy E>=20W.min., (expressed by power (W) X time (min) per unit area (m )) supplied from a magnetron electrode 8. Then the produced metal vapor deposition film having excellent gas barrier property against oxygen or the like is wound up on a winding roller 4.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To obtain a transparent conductive laminate for electroluminescence excellent in the adhesiveness of a transparent plastic film and a transparent conductive layer, extremely reduced in the blackening of the conductive layer and imparting an electroluminescent element having long life by providing a palladium layer between the transparent plastic film and the transparent conductive layer. CONSTITUTION:A palladium layer 6 is formed to the single surface of a plastic film 1 by sputtering. The condition of this sputtering is set so that a vacuum chamber is evacuated to 1X10 -1X10 Torr and argon gas is subsequently introduced into the vacuum apparatus and the thickness of the palladium layer is adjusted to 1-50Angstrom by changing charged power and a sputtering time under pressure of 5X10 -5X10 Torr. A transparent conductive layer 2 composed of ITO, In2O3 or SnO2 is formed to the palladium layer 6 thus obtained. This transparent conductive layer can be formed by a known sputtering method, a vacuum vapor deposition method or an ion plating method.
