Abstract: PURPOSE:To obtain a car wheel cover superior in coating adhesion by injection molding a composition composed of a specific vinyl copolymer containing a maleimide monomer as a copolymerizing compound, a polyamide added with a barium stearate, and a modified polyolefin. CONSTITUTION:A polyamide composition (A) is prepared by adding 0.02-1.0 pts.wt. barium stearate per 100 pts.wt. of polyamide. A vinyl copolymer (B) is prepared by copolymerizing 40-75wt.% at least one of aromatic vinyl monomer or (meth)acrylic monomer, 25-60wt.% maleimide monomer shown by a formula (In the formula, R1-R3 represent hydrogen, halogen, or C1-20 hydrocarbon.), and 0.5-10wt.% another vinyl copolymer that can copolymerize with at least the aforesaid monomer. A modified polyolefin (C) has carboxylic acid group, carboxylic acid metallic salt group, or anhydride group. A composition containing A by 10-80wt.% and B, C each by 10-50wt.% is injection molded.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To obtain a resin composition composed of a specified poly-epsilon- caprolactam, an aliphatic bisamide and an aliphatic carboxylic acid or its diol ester and excellent in high-cycling properties in injection molding and mechanical properties. CONSTITUTION:This polyamide resin composition is obtained by blending (A) 100 pts.wt. mixture prepared by adding Ba(OH)2, BaO, etc., to a poly-epsilon- caprolactam exhibiting >=0.4 ratio of gamma-type crystal, e.g. a molten poly-epsilon- caprolactam after completion of polymerization with (B) 0.01 to 1 pt.wt., preferably 0.02 to 0.5 pt.wt. aliphatic bisamide [e.g. methylene-bis(stearylamide)] of formula I or II (R1 is a 1 to 10C hydrocarbon group; R2 and R3 are each a 10 to 30C hydrocarbon group; R4 and R5 are each H or a 1 to 4C hydrocarbon group) and (C) 0.01 to 0.8 pt.wt., preferably 0.05 to 0.5 pt.wt. 1 to 22C aliphatic carboxylic acid or its diol ester (preferably ethylene glycol ester or 1,4-butane diol ester of montanic acid).

Abstract: PURPOSE:To obtain the title composition excellent in heat resistance, cold heat repeatability, rigidity, toughness and resistance to road antifreezing agent, suitable for automotive outdoor parts by melt blending of each specific lower nylon and higher nylon and polyphenylene oxide. CONSTITUTION:The objective composition comprising (A) 5-65wt.% at least one kind of polyamide resin (e.g., nylon 6, nylon 66) selected from A1: polyamides consisting mainly of caproylamide unit, A2: polyamides consisting mainly of hexamethylene adipamide unit and A3: aromatic ring-contg. polyamides, (B) 65-30wt.% of a polyamide resin (e.g., nylon 6.10) prepared by melt polymerization of at least one kind of compound selected from 11-12C aliphatic amino acids, lactam and equimolar salts (13-24C) from 6-12C-aliphatic diamines and 6-12C aliphatic dicarboxylic acids, and (C) 30-5wt.% of a polyphenylene oxide resin, and furthermore, if needed, (D) 1-200 pts.wt. based on 100 pts.wt. of the components (A+B+C) of inorganic reinforcing material.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To improve the calcium chloride resistance, etc., of a molding comprising polyamide 6 and/or polyamide 66, and thereby prevent it from being crazed, by coating it with a thin film of a resin selected from among polyamides 610, 612, 116, 11, and 12. CONSTITUTION:A molding comprising polyamide 6 or/and polyamide 66 is coated with a thin polyamide resin film of a thickness of 10-750mu, selected from among polyamides 610, 612, 116, 11, and 12 to obtain the purpose polyamide resin molding. The method for forming the coating, for example, comprises preforming a film comprising a higher polyamide resin, attaching this film to a mold, placing polyamide 6 or 66 in the mold and molding it to form a film on the surface of the fromed molding. In this way, it is possible to improve the resistance to a calcium chloride-based antifreezer of a molding of a resin comprising polyamide 6 or 66 without detriment to its properties.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To obtain the titled product of markedly improved surface smoothness capable of giving high adhesivity and metallic gloss, by incorporating silicone oil in a polyamide resin composition reinforced with wollastonite of specific particle size. CONSTITUTION:Homogeneous incorporation of (A) 100pts.wt. of a polyamide resin composition reinforced with 25-50 (pref. 30-45) wt% of wollastonite of an average particle size 0.05-20 (pref. 3-15) mu with (B) 0.03-5 (pref. 0.1-3) pts.wt. of silicone oil pref. polysiloxane of formula (m is 1-4, n is 1-5) is performed followed by kneading in a molten state then molding in an appropriate process to obtain the objective product. Alternatively, said wollastonite and silicone oil are intimately mixed beforehand, followed by homogeneous incorporation of said polyamide resin in the form of pellets, powder, or chips, then kneading in a molten state using extruder to effect pelletization. The resulting pellets are melted followed by molding in an appropriate process to obtain the objective product.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To provide the titled resin compsn. having excellent heat resistance, low-temperature impact resistance, etc. and suitable for use in the production of automobile parts, by blending glass fiber having an average diameter within the specified range with polyamide 6 or a polyamide resin mainly composed of polyamide 6. CONSTITUTION:20-60pts.wt. glass fiber having an average diameter of 3-8mu is mixed with 80-40pts.wt. polyamide 6 or polyamide resin mainly composed of polyamide 6 (e.g. a copolymer of polyamide 6 with polyamide 66) to obtain the desired highly impact-resistant polyamide resin compsn. The resulting resin compsn. is excellent in falling ball impact resistance at a low temp. in particular and suitable for use in the production of automobile bumper beam, transmission support, etc. used in cold districts. Pref. the surface of the glass fiber is previously treated with a silane coupling agent having good heat stability.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To obtain a uniform strength over a whole rim of a wheel by forming the rim of the wheel with an injection-molded article of a reinforced composite material having fine staple fibers mixed therin as a reinforcing material, wherein an amount of the mixed fine staple fibers, a ratio of the length to the diameter thereof and the like are specified. CONSTITUTION:In a wheel 1, for an automobile, having a rim part 3 integral with a disc 2 or combined therewith, the rim part 3 is formed of a synthetic resin in which fine staple fibers having a diameter of 0.1-100mum are mixed as a reinforcing material, by an injection-molding method. With respect to the whole amount of the fine staple fibers which occupy 30-75wt% of an injection-molded article, the above-mentioned ratio of the length to the diameter is specified in the range of 10-70. Further, the injection-molded article is formed so as to have a Vicat softening point of not less than 150 deg.C in a sample piece cut out therefrom, a flex modulus of not less than 400kg/mm. and an Izod impact strength without knot of not less than 50kg-cm/cm .
