    Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve a problem that a highly oriented fiber is excessively oriented to cause fuzzes, the breakage of the fiber, or the like, when drawn and false- twisted at a higher take-up speed than conventional take-up speeds. SOLUTION: This polyester raw fiber for drawing and false twisting is characterized by containing a phosphorus compound represented by the general formula (1) or (2) in an amount of 20 to 1,000 ppm as phosphorus atoms and having a birefringence of 0.08 to 0.16.
