    Abstract: PURPOSE:To obtain an excellent deodorizing material having quick acting effect on many malodorous components containing four serious malodorous components of ammonia, hydrogen sulfide, methylmercaptan and amines, by forming said deodorizing material from a non-microporous deodorant,a microporous deodorant and a carrier for the deodorants. CONSTITUTION:A deodorizing material consists of a non-microporous deodorant, a microporous deodorant and a carrier for these deodorants. As the non- microporous deodorant, a deodorant composed of a composition consisting of a ferrous salt, an oxycarboxylic acid compound having two or more carboxyl groups and sulfate and/or sulfite as the third component develops especially marked effect. A ferrous ion shows marked stability to oxygen in air and has light fastness and heat resistance and the active state of the ferrous ion is kept for a long period of time. The oxycarboxylic acid compound having two or more carboxyl groups in the molecule thereof is a compound effectively acting on the suppression of the oxidation of the iron ion and the keeping of active state thereof through the chemical reaction of the ferrous ion. The microporous deodorant is one having microporosity such as activated carbon, zeolite, bentonite or a silica gel.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To maintain the performance of a sheet-like material made of fiber in a state of electret even when used in a watery place, by laminating a sheet- like materials made of ion-exchange fiber with a sheet-like material made of fiber in a state of electret or a sheet-like material made of glass fiber. CONSTITUTION:A sheet-like material is obtained using an ion-exchange fiber having the degree of water content of 0.1-10. Weight per unit area of the sheet-like material is more than 30g/m . A sheet-like material in a state of electret is obtained after a high-molecular substance which is capable of change to electret is formed into fiber or into films. And glass micro-wool composed of fine glass wool is formed into pulp which is capable of making paper so as to be formed into a sheet. The sheet-like material made of ion-exchange fiber, the sheet-like material of fiber in a state of electret or the sheet-like material of glass wool are laminated. When they are laminated, the sheet-like material of fiber in a state of electret can be formed into a sandwich form.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To obtain the title yarn having improved strength, transparency, gloss, and hygroscopicity at a low cost, by melt spinning a blend of specific polymers, and by drawing a taken-up yarn with a specific moisture content and contact pressure. CONSTITUTION:Thermoplastic polymers having the second-order transition point of at least 100 deg.C comprising about 0.2-2.0wt% of acrylonitrile-containing polymers are blended and melt spun into filament yarns, which are oiled with about 4-9%, preferably 5-8%, of moisture, and taken up under a drum contact pressure of 0.6-5.0kg, preferably 2.0-4.0kg, and drawn. The winding density of the undrawn yarn is preferably about 0.65-0.85g/cm . According to the method, the following effects are produced: Increased sprinning speed suppression of longitudinal yarn swell, stabilization of package forms, increased widing density, enlarged packages, improvement in drawing operating efficiency, and sharp increase in drawing speed.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To produce a porous membrane of a polytetrafluoroethylene-based resin excellent in mechanical performances (strength and elongation and puncture pressure). CONSTITUTION:In this method for producing a porous membrane of polytetrafluoroethylene-based resin, comprising molding an uniform mixture obtained by mixing a dispersion of the polytetrafluoroethylene-based resin with a fiber forming polymer and then heat-treating the resultant moldings at a temperature not lower than melting point of the resin and removing the fiber- forming polymer, preliminary heat treatment is carried out at >=160 deg.C and a temperature lower than melting point of the resin prior to the heat treatment.
