Abstract: PURPOSE:To achieve good contrast through reduction of brightness at dark portion while to suppress degradation of color purity and to improve the emission life by forming a darkened portion composed of at least A1, Fe, Si onto at least one surface of metallic member in tube while making the content of Si near the surface of said darkened portion higher than 1.5 wt%. CONSTITUTION:An inner shield 6 is arranged while extending from the shadowmask structure along the inner face of funnel 2 to the electron gun structure 7. A darkened portion 11 is formed on the surface of metallic member in tube mainly composed of Fe such as the shadowmask structure 10 or the inner shield 6. In order to form the darkened portion 11, the surface of basic soft steel plate is washed with acid then cold rolled and fused aluminum galvanization is executed. The fused aluminum galvanization thickness will be 10-20mum. Then, in order to achieve predetermined thickness, it is cold rolled again then softened and annealed and pressed into specific shape thereafter thermally processed under reductive environment such as hydrogen environment or vacuum.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To obtain a C-CRT having the proper dot diameter of phosphor, excellent in the color purity and having high brightness by preparing in advance a phosphor dot pattern to be formed on the outer surface of a face plate panel while exposing a phosphor layer provided on the inner surface of the face plate panel to ultraviolet rays from both front and back surfaces. CONSTITUTION:A mask pattern to be formed on the outer surface of a face plate panel 6 is formed by being exposed to ultraviolet rays after being applied with a diazo-compound. The illuminance during exposure is 0.2-2mW/cm while the sufficient irradiation time is 1-60sec. Next, slurry containing a binder and phosphor powder is applied to the inner surface of the panel and dried. Then, a sensitive film is exposed to ultraviolet rays from both front and back surfaces through a pattern formed on the panel outer surface and a shadow mask prepared in opposition to the inner surface in order to make the sensitive resin water- insoluble. The desirable conditions of exposure are that the illuminance may be 0.2-2mW/cm and the irradiation time may be 1-60sec from the panel outer surface while the illumiance may be 0.2-2mW/cm and the irradiation time may be 1-60sec from the inner surface. The exposed phosphor film is subsequently developed.

Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent generation of a leakage electric field, and obtain an image having a high image quality by applying solution containing water, conductive particulates and a nonionic surface active agent to an outside surface of a front panel of a face plate, and forming a conductive reflection preventive film by removing a solvent of the solution. SOLUTION: In an envelope composed of a panel 1 and a funnel 2 integrally joined to the panel 1, a fluorescent screen 3 is formed on an inside surface of the panel 1, and a conductive reflection preventive film 7 is formed on an outside surface. In the formation of the conductive reflection preventive film 7, when an aqueous or water containing solution having large surface tension is applied to a surface of the panel 1 of a face plate, a nonionic surface active agent is included in the solution containing water and conductive particulates, and the occurrence of nonuniformity at film forming time is prevented. The nonionic surface active agent is included so as to become 0.01 wt.% to 0.5 wt.% to the solution, and ultrafine particles of copper, a copper compound, silver or a silver compound or the like are used as the conductive particulates.

Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce any brightness drop at a corner part by composing phosphor in phosphor slurry by means of phosphor of its size of 50% particle diameter by Coulter counter apparatus and setting the specific weight of this phosphor slurry in a specific range. SOLUTION: The coating film 25 of phosphor slurry is exposed to light via a mask 6 and correspondent patterns are baked on the opening 21 of the mask 6 so as to form blue, green and red phosphor layers 26B, 26G and 26R sequentially. The phosphor inside of phosphor slurry is composed of such one of 50% particle diameter of 4.5μm to 6.5μm by the Coulter counter apparatus, its specific gravity is set in a range from 1.200 to 1.300 and the maximum number of revolution of the panel at the time of uniformly applying this phosphor slurry on the effective part inside surface is set in a range from 150 to 250rpm. For instance, each colored phosphor layer is formed by using, respectively, a blue phosphor of 5.5μm particle diameter, a green phosphor of slurry specific gravity 1.260 with particle diameter 5.7μm, a red phosphor of slurry specific gravity 1.245 with particle diameter 5.8μm and such a one of specific gravity 1.255.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To remove uneven aperture by defects micro dispersion of hole diameter so as to improve yield rate, regarding shadow masks on which electron beam passage holes are arranged with high accuracy with at minute pitches, by adding a specified sensitizer to a photosensitive agent. CONSTITUTION:A photosensitive film 21 is formed by applying a photosensitive agent, which has photosensitive resin and a cross linking agent as its main ingredients, on the board face of a shadow mask blank 20, and drying it. A resist film is formed by baking a specified pattern onto this photosensitive film 21, and developing it, and then and electron beam passage hole is formed etching it. At that time, a photosensitive agent is used, in which a sensitizer which has the peaks of transmissivity at 360+ or -10nm and 400+ or -10nm and the transmissivity of 450nm of which is one-fifth or less this peak value is added by 30-160wt.% to the above cross linking agent (ammonium dichromate. Uranium (curve 29) may be preferably used as the above sensitizer.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To dope only a surface region of a phosphor with Cu ions and to manufacture a blue phosphor with improved luminescence efficiency by manufacturing a specified phosphor of ZnS:Ag, Al in advance, performing the secondary firing in a reductive atmosphere and doping it with Cu ions. CONSTITUTION:A ZnS:Ag, Al phosphor wherein the concn. of an Ag activator is 0.04-0.08wt.% based on ZnS matrix is mixed with Cu ions in such a way that 0.5-2.5ppm Cu ions are incorporated and the mixture is fied in a reductive atmosphere at 300-650 deg.C to obtain a blue phosphor wherein the surface region of said ZnS:Ag, Al phosphor is doped with Cu ions and the concn. of this ion is 0.5-2.5ppm. By said procedure, the spectra of the ZnS:Ag, Al phosphor in 470-600nm can be increased without decreasing the luminescence peak strength and it is possible to make a blue phosphor with improved luminescence efficiency.

CONSTITUTION:To a panel 1 of a color image receiving tube, a green phosphor, a predetermined % of PVA aqueous solution, water, ammonium dichromate, a predetermined % of surface active agent aqueous solution, acrylic emulsion aqueous solution are determined by specific ratios, while a phosphor slurry is prepared as a suspended substance, so as to form a single-colored film of a green phosphor layer at a predetermined position, on which, for example, 5% of alkaline non-crystalline colloidal silica solution is applied, and after dried up, a silica coating film is formed. A thin film composed of an alkali resin is then formed by lacquer spray method, and an Al thin film is deposited and baked as a metal back, incinerating and removing the resin in the phosphor layer and an acrylic resin thereupon, so as to manufacture a color image receiving tube.

Thereby a deflection device of low heat generation and stabilized operation even in high horizontal deflection frequencies can be obtained.

CONSTITUTION:In a process to peel and remove a photoresist membrane and a photoabsorbent substance covering the photoresist membrane leaving at least a part of the photoresist membrane, and a process to cover and form a paint whose surface is covered with silica over the remaining photoresist membrane, the remaining photoresist membrane has an adhesion property, and, by contacting the photoresist membrane to the silica over the surface of the paint, a contact electrification is produced. As a result, the silica-covered paint is charged negative and the remaining photoresist membrane with the adhesion property is charged positive, resulting in an increased adhesion by the electrostatic attraction and the adhesion property of the remaining photoresist.
