    Abstract: A movable barrier operator (10) has a first disconnect mechanism (20) and a second disconnect mechanism (35) wherein either mechanism can be used to cause the output drive of the operator to be disengaged from the movable barrier to allow the movable barrier to be manually moved.     Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a door drive device for a vehicle which can sufficiently decelerate the rotation of a motor while enhancing the degree of freedom in arrangement in a vehicle door by reducing a size smaller in the width direction of the vehicle as a whole. SOLUTION: In a drive member 21, a drum 23 is arranged in such a manner as to at least partially overlap a space of an interval L in the width direction of the vehicle which is formed of an outer shape of a drive motor 22.     Abstract: A drive suitable for a door or gate operator mechanism has a motor (1) and a gear box (5). The gear box (5) has a drive disengaging means (29) therein which can be pulled by a chord (7) to effect drive engagement of the motor (1) with the gear box (5). When the chord (7) is next pulled drive disengagement of the motor (1) with the gear box (5) is provided. The arrangement permits a door or gate which is driven by the operator to be manually opened in the event of power failure. The mechanical advantage of the gearbox (5) and the motor (1) on the door or gate is such that the gate cannot be manually opened without the drive being disengaged.
