Abstract:
A powered actuator for moving a motor vehicle closure panel from a closed position to an open position and method of construction thereof. Powered actuator includes an electric motor configured to rotate a driven shaft and a gearbox coupled to the driven shaft. An extensible member extends through the gearbox to a proximal end on one side of the gearbox for attachment to one of a vehicle body or the closure member and to a distal end on an opposite side of the gearbox. Extensible member is configured to move between retracted and extended positions in response to rotation of the driven shaft. A contamination cover enshrouds the extensible member between the gearbox and the distal end of the extensible member. Contamination cover moves between an axially extended state and an axially retracted state while the extensible member moves between the respective retracted position and the extended position.
Abstract:
A power door actuation system including a swing door actuator assembly having a rotatable drive nut assembly operable to move the door between a closed position and at least one open position to provide a power opening and closing function.
Abstract:
A door brake system for braking and locking a hinged door of a motor vehicle includes a stop and a base body, which is moved relative to the stop via a swiveling motion of the door. The base body is hinged and/or detachably fastened to the door. The stop is arranged on the door frame or on a body of the motor vehicle. The base body is guided relative to the stop in a positive manner to improve an effect and/or the kinematics of the door brake system.
Abstract:
An actuator for moving a movable furniture part includes at least one movably mounted actuating member for moving the movable furniture part, a spring device for applying a force to the actuating member, and a setting device by which a force of the spring device that acts on the actuating member can be set. The setting device has a threaded portion and a screw nut mounted adjustably between two end positions, and the force of the spring device acting on the actuating member can be set by adjusting the screw nut along the threaded portion. At least one supporting element is provided which relieves the screw nut in at least one of the two end positions of the force of the spring device.
Abstract:
A door support and drive mechanism for a door can be mounted either over or in a door opening in a transit vehicle or other structure. The mechanism includes a tube which has a longitudinal slot. The mechanism also has mounts attached to the tube for mounting the mechanism to the structure over the door opening, so that the tube is substantially horizontal and the slot is along a lower portion of the tube. The mechanism includes at least one door hanger which has an upper portion movably disposed within the tube and a depending portion passing through the slot, the depending portion being for attachment to the door. The mechanism has a drive nut attached to the door hanger. A drive screw is positioned in the tube, engaging a threaded inner portion of the drive nut. The drive screw is connectable to a rotary power device to be rotated thereby. Rotation of the drive screw causes longitudinal movement of the drive nut and the hanger to which the drive nut is attached, so that the door is moved longitudinally.
Abstract:
A screw drive mechanism connectable to at least one of a first machine portion and a second machine portion for moving the second machine portion relative to the first machine portion from a first position to a second position. The mechanism has a base for attachment to one of the first and the second machine portions and a motor attached to the base. It includes a drive screw having a rotary motion connection to the motor to be rotated thereby and a drive nut having an internally threaded bore engaged with the drive screw to receive a drive force from the drive screw. A drive nut connection is engaged with the drive nut for conveying the drive force to one of the first and the second machine portions. An anti-rotation member is attached to the drive nut connection, the anti-rotation member engaging the drive nut to prevent rotation thereof. The mechanism also includes an activation member attached to the base, the activation member contacting a disengaging surface portion of the anti-rotation member when such one of the first and the second machine portions is moved to the second position to place the anti-rotation member in a position disengaged from the drive nut so that the drive nut may rotate. A drive nut rotating device is attached to the base, the drive nut rotating device rotating the drive nut to a locking position when such one of the first and the second machine portions is moved to the second position.

Abstract:
A vertical door latch assembly includes a housing and a bolt movably attached to the housing having a catch portion. A drive motor is located within the housing and is configured to selectively move a lock assembly between a locked position preventing movement of the bolt and an unlocked position allowing movement of the bolt. A battery assembly is removable from the housing when the lock assembly is in first position and fixed to the housing when the lock assembly is in a second position. A controller is in electrical communication with the drive motor and is configured to direct the actuator lock assembly between the locked position and the unlocked position.
