Abstract: Systems, methods, and computer readable media related to aggregating and associated captured medical data are disclosed. They involve receiving an ID of a piece of equipment in a medical facility, location information for the equipment, and medical information captured by the equipment; and ascertaining a time of information capture by the equipment. They further involve performing a lookup in a data record to determine an identity of a particular patient assigned to a location associated with the location information and performing a lookup in a data structure to identify a medical record of the particular patient. They further involve establishing an association between the medical information captured by the equipment and the medical record to thereby enable access to the medical information through access to the medical record of the particular patient.

Abstract: Embodiments consistent with the present disclosure provide systems, methods, and devices for providing wound capturing guidance. In one example, consistent with the disclosed embodiments, an example system may: display, on a mobile device, a user interface configured to guide a patient through one or more steps for performing a medical action, the plurality of steps including at least: using at least one item of a medical kit; and capturing at least one image of at least part of the at least one item of the medical kit using at least one image sensor associated with the mobile device. The example system may also: detect a failure to successfully complete the medical action; select from one or more alternative reactions, a reaction to the detected failure likely to bring a successful completion of the medical action; and provide instructions associated with the selected reaction.

Abstract: A surgical robot, and a graphical control device and graphic display method therefor. The surgical robot includes: an input portion; a display (22); an operating arm (31) having a feature point sequence consisting of feature points arranged orderly, the feature points representing joints; and a controller. The controller is coupled to the input portion, the display (22) and sensors, and configured to: obtain the feature point sequence of the operating arm (31) and a corresponding kinematic model thereof (S11); obtain joint variables sensed by the sensors (S12), and obtain a virtual camera selected by the input portion (S13); determine a projection point of each feature point in the feature point sequence on a projection plane of the virtual camera according to the kinematic model and the joint variables (S14); orderly fit and connect each projection point to generate a projected image of the operating arm (31)(S15); and display the projected image on the display (22)(S16). The surgical robot helps a doctor in observing a motion state of the operating arm (31) in all orientations.

Abstract: Provided herein are methods, computer programs, and systems for automated microinjection, for example, automated Intracytoplasmic Sperm Injection (ICSI). Methods described herein include creating, by a processing unit, a first dataset of an oocyte and a holding device and a second dataset of an injection pipette; detecting the oocyte and the holding device in the first dataset and the injection pipette in the second dataset; selecting the image of the first dataset and of the second dataset where an equatorial plane of the oocyte/holding device and of the injection pipette has an improved focusing parameter; selecting images of the first and second datasets and labeling the pixels associated with the oocyte and to the injection pipette; detecting a tip of the injection pipette; detecting different morphological structures of the oocyte using artificial intelligence computer vision algorithms on the first dataset; creating an injection trajectory for the injection pipette to perform the ICSI using the detected morphological structures; detecting when the oocyte is rupturing and when the spermatozoa has been released from the injection pipette into the cytoplasm of oocyte.

For example, some embodiments may include machine learning systems trained to recognize whether video from surgical visualization tools, such as endoscopes, depicts a field of view inside or outside the patient body. The system may excise or whiteout frames of video appearing outside the patient so as to remove potentially compromising personal information, such as the identities of members of the surgical team, the patients identity, configurations of the surgical theater, etc. Appropriate removal of such non-surgical data may facilitate downstream processing, e.g., by complying with regulatory requirements as well as by removing extraneous data potentially inimical to further downstream processing, such as training a downstream classifier.

Abstract: A system for medical device usage monitoring includes one or more capture devices, one or more base station devices, and an analytics server. The capture devices each capture image data indicative of a monitored location at a timestamp in an operating room and transmit the image data to a base station device. Each base station device recognizes medical devices in the image capture data with a trained machine learning model and transmits recognition data to the analytics server. The analytics server generates medical device usage data over time based on the recognition data. The analytics server may infer usage based on the recognition data. The analytics server may analyze the medical device usage data and generate analytical usage data. Methods associated with the system are also disclosed.
