A printed circuit board terminal includes a rectangular metal wire rod having a substantially rectangle cross-section. One longitudinal end portion of the printed circuit board terminal includes an insertion portion that is configured to be inserted into a through hole provided in a printed circuit board and soldered. A conducting metal plated layer is provided on an entire surface of the rectangular metal wire rod. One marginal portion of the insertion portion, which faces a long side direction of the rectangle cross-section, is removed to reduce a dimension in the long side direction corresponding to a width direction.

Also, a method provides for inserting a pin into a receiving opening in a printed circuit board, in which the pin is inserted into the receiving opening from one side of the printed circuit board, and a contact part of the pin is anchored in the receiving opening with a press fit. The contact part is inserted into the receiving opening in a contactless manner or with a sliding fit and is subsequently deformed within the receiving opening by expansion transversally to the insertion direction in order to anchor the contact part in the receiving opening with a press fit.

Die Erfindung betrifft einen Pin (2) mit einem in eine Aufnahmeöffnung (20) einer Leiterplatte (4) einführbaren, mit Presssitz in der Aufnahmeöffnung (20) verankerbaren Kontaktteil (24) sowie ein Verfahren zum Einsetzen eines Pin (2) in eine Aufnahmeöffnung (20) einer Leiterplatte (4), bei dem der Pin (2) von einer Seite der Leiterplatte (4) her in die Aufnahmeöffnung (20) eingeführt und ein Kontaktteil (24) des Pin (2) mit Presssitz in der Aufnahmeöffnung (20) verankert wird. Erfindungsgemäß ist vorgesehen, den Kontaktteil (24) berührungslos oder mit Gleitpassung in die Aufnahmeöffnung (20) einzuführen und anschließend innerhalb der Aufnahmeöffnung (20) unter Aufweitung quer zur Einführrichtung (A) zu verformen, um ihn mit Presssitz in der Aufnahmeöffnung (20) zu verankern.

A printed circuit board comprises a substrate (1) of an electrically insulating material, a plurality of electrical current carrying paths (2) of electrically conductive material on the substrate and a plurality of integrally formed insulation displacement connectors (4) connected to the paths. The connectors may be edge connectors, or connectors within the periphery of the board or a combination of both. An edge connector is formed with a slot (5) which may be at an angle to the plane of the board. A connector within the periphery of the board comprises a larger diameter portion leading to a slot and means for pushing an insulated conductor inserted in the larger diameter portion into the slot. This arrangement results in fewer components to assemble, higher frequency performance, reduced cross-talk, space savings and lower costs.

Die Erfindung betrifft eine Kontaktvorrichtung (1) zum elektrischen Kontaktieren von mindestens einem ersten Leiter (7) mit mindestens einem zweiten Leiter (8), wobei der erste Leiter (7) in einem Schlitzwände (9) aufweisenden Schlitz (4) eines Basisteils (2) angeordnet ist und der zweite Leiter (8) zur Kontaktierung des ersten Leiters (7) in den Schlitz (4) zur Erzeugung einer Schneidklemmverbindung eingedrückt ist. Es ist vorgesehen, dass das Basisteil (2) benachbart zum Schlitz (4) mindestens einen Durchbruch (15) zum federnden Nachgeben der zugeordneten Schlitzwand (9) des Schlitzes (4) aufweist.
