    Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a portable telephone terminal, capable of preventing inconvenient operation of the portable telephone terminal resulting from a touch with a touch panel while making a telephone conversation without limiting functions available during conversation.SOLUTION: A portable telephone terminal includes: a touch panel 104; determination means (telephone conversation determination means) 201; detection means (approach detection means) 202; and control means (input control means) 203. The touch panel 104 is used for inputting information. The telephone conversation determination means 201 is equipped with a function that determines whether a telephone conversation is underway or not. The approach detection means 202 is equipped with a function that outputs wave motion at prescribed time intervals and detects the approach of an object by receiving the wave motion. The input control means 203 is equipped with a function that disables an operation for the touch panel 104 depending on the determination result of the telephone conversation determination means 201 and the detection result of the approach detection means 202.
