Abstract:
A method, system and device for enhancing muscle training and performance by accelerating blood flow to the muscles and enhancing flow in the lymphatic system, incorporating mechanical stimulation and in some cases electrical stimulation of the muscle. A muscle recovery apparatus includes: an active compression device and an electrical stimulation device, where the active compression device is configured to be disposed about a user's muscle and to mechanically compress the user's muscle to facilitate muscle recovery, and where the electrical stimulation device is coupled to an inner surface of the active compression device, such that the electrical stimulation device can be placed in contact with the user to electrically stimulate the user's muscle.
Abstract:
The invention relates to a device for stimulating neurons, comprising a non-invasive stimulation unit for applying mechanically tactile and/or thermal stimuli to the body surface of a patient. The stimuli stimulate neurons with a pathologically synchronous and oscillatory neural activity. The device also comprises a measuring unit for recording measurement signals, which describe a neural activity of the stimulated neurons, and a control and analyzing unit for controlling the stimulation unit and analyzing the measurement signals. The control and analyzing unit is designed to actuate the stimulation unit such that the stimulation unit abrades at least one part of the body surface of the patient along a path and thereby periodically applies stimuli, to select at least two regions on the patient's body surface along the path where the phase synchronization between the periodic application of the stimuli and the neural activity of the stimulated neurons have a respective local maximum using the measurement signals recorded in reaction to the periodic application of the stimuli, and to actuate the stimulation unit such that the stimulation unit applies stimuli in a delayed manner in the at least two selected regions, said stimuli causing the phase of the neural activity of the stimulated neurons to be reset.
Abstract:
A light emitting module and massage device provide vaginal rejuvenation. The device exposes collagen in the vaginal area or mucosa to temperatures elevated over normal body temperature to cause the collagen to reversibly or irreversibly denature while simultaneously applying vibration. Once thermally-induced collagen denaturation has occurred, both neoelastogenesis and neocollagenesis may occur and may be initiated with fibroblast proliferation, which may be promoted with vibration. Neofibrogenesis also occurs due to the fibroblastic activity, responsible for secretion of new collagen matrix to effect tissue repair. Thus, the device exploits thermally-induced collagen denaturation and repair along with simultaneous vibration to improve tissue tone, connective tissue tension and bulk tissue regeneration.

Abstract:
The present invention provides a fluid injection system (11) which transitions between a maintenance mode wherein an outlet (15) is closed and no fluid is discharged through the outlet, and an operation mode, wherein the outlet is open and fluid is discharged through the outlet. The fluid injection system injects a first fluid transported in a first pipeline (21) with a second fluid, wherein there is a temperature differential between the first fluid and the second fluid. The fluid injection system comprises a holding tank (49) for storing the second fluid, a cooling means (35) to cool the second fluid, and a pump (39) for delivering the second fluid into the first pipeline. The second fluid mixes with the first fluid in the first pipeline to provide a combined third fluid having a temperature within a predetermined temperature range, wherein the third fluid is maintained within the predetermined temperature range when the fluid injection system is in either mode such that the temperature of the third fluid made available to an outlet is within the predetermined temperature range.
