    Abstract: Mixts. of a butadiene-styrene block copolymer(I), anionic polystyrene, and an extender oil were extruded to prep. molded shoe soles which resisted wrinkling during flexing. Thus, a mixt. of I(contg. polystyrene blocks with mol. wt. 30.000) 100, anionic polystyrene 55, and paraffin oil (shell flex 311) 100 parts was molded to prep. shoe soles with shore A hardness 76, high stiffness, and good resistance to abrasion.

    Abstract: Cyclopropane derivs. (I; Hal = halogen, R1 = H, alkyl or Ph, R2, R3 = H or alkyl, R4 = CN, COSMe, CO2H, substituted NH2), used as fungicides, e.g., against pyricularia oryzae on rice plants, were prepd. by reaction of R1R2C = CR3-CO2R with Cl3COO2Na or X3CHgPh producing dihalocarben. Cl3COO2 Na or Cl3CHgPh was added to Me2C:CHCO2Me and the mixt. heated 2hr at 115≦̸C to give I (X = Cl, R1 = R2 =Et, R3 = H, R4 = CO2Et).

    Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain the subject composition capable of exhibiting excellent adhesiveness to both a woven fabric and a soft film made of a polyolefin, useful in the field of packing of plastic base and a disposable article by including a specific conjugated diene polymer. SOLUTION: This composition comprises (A) a poly-1-butene polymer, (B) a tackifier resin and (C) 3-25 wt.% of a (semi)liquid (partially) hydrogenated conjugated diene polymer having =75 wt.% hydrogenation ratio). Preferably the composition has 20-60 wt.% of the component A, 30-75 wt.% of the component B, a fixed amount of the component C and (D) 0-5 wt.% of a stabilizer such as an antioxidant.

    Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a polyketone/polyamide multilayer structure useful for many applications. SOLUTION: The multilayer polymer structure comprises a polyketone polymer layer made of at least one type of polyketone polymer, a connecting layer made of at least one type of polyamide copolymer or polyamide monomer, and a polyamide layer made of at least one type of polyamide having a long aliphatic chain segment. In this case, the polyketone layer is adhered to the connecting layer. And, the connecting layer is connected to the polyamide layer. And, a method for manufacturing the multilayer polymer structure is provided.

    Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enhance reaction efficiency by providing a draft tube equipped with a window or a slot in a reactor and circulating a process fluid through the window or the slot by the rotation of the impeller in the tube. SOLUTION: A reactor 10 suitable in use of reaction such as polymn., crystallization or the like for a polycondensation polymer has a draft tube having a slot 18 formed thereto built therein and an impeller 14 is arranged in the draft tube 16. The impeller 14 is rotated by external power through a shaft 12 and a process fluid is forcibly directed downwardly within the draft tube 16. At this time, a part of the process fluid is taken out of an outlet 24 as a product but the greater part thereof is repelled from the bottom part 10a of the reactor 10 to upwardly flow through an annular part 19 provided with a barrier plate 20 and heated/cooled by a heat exchange coil 28 to be returned into the draft tube 16 through the slot 18.
