Abstract: 본 발명은 권리객체 복호방법과 장치 및 이를 이용한 콘텐츠 공유방법과 장치에 관한 것으로, 권리객체를 해석하기 위한 코드들을 포함하는 DRM 에이전트를 소정의 장치로부터 수신하고, 수신된 DRM 에이전트를 구동함으로써 권리객체를 암호화하는 암호키와 권리객체를 복호화하는 복호키를 생성하고, 수신된 DRM 에이전트를 구동함으로써 수신된 권리객체를 생성된 복호키로 복호하고, 복호된 권리객체 내에 포함된 콘텐츠를 복호화하는 콘텐츠 복호키를 추출하고, 추출된 콘텐츠 복호키를 이용함으로써 소정의 장치로부터 수신된 암호화된 콘텐츠를 복호함으로써, 서로 다른 DRM 시스템 간에 있어서도 암호화된 콘텐츠를 공유할 수 있도록 하고, 장치 제조자로 하여금 제품 출하시 적재하지 못했던 DRM 시스템의 권리객체 해석 소프트웨어로서의 DRM 에이전트 모듈을 제품 사용 시점에 제공할 수 있는 방법을 도입하여 개발 부담을 줄일 수 있다.

Abstract: A method and a device for signing an RO(Rights Object) as a proxy, and the method and the device for issuing a proxy-certificate are provided to verify legal conversion with only the authentication for the converted RO by including a proxy sign generator, which signs the converted RO instead of an original RI(Rights Issuer) as the proxy, in an RO proxy sign device. A receiver(310) receives a proxy sign certificate describing a right for converting an RO instead of an RI and receives the RO from a first device. A proxy signing unit(330) signs the received RO. A transmitter(340) transmits the signed RO and the received proxy sign certificate to a second device. A format converter(320) converts an RO format of the received RO into the RO format of the second device when the RO format of the received RO is different from the RO format of the second device, and outputs the converted RO to the proxy signing unit. A certificate requestor(370) transmits a PKI(Public Key Infrastructure)-based proxy public key and an electronic sign encoded by a proxy private key to the RI. The proxy signing unit encodes the sign with the proxy private key when the received RO is signed. A controller(360) compares a DRM(Digital Rights Management) of a received right object 1with a DRM of a right object 2 which is supposed to be converted to know whether the DRMs are identical to each other. If so, the controller outputs a control signal by which the received right object is transferred to the proxy signing unit, otherwise the controller outputs a control signal which orders the transfer of the received right object to the format converter.
