Abstract:
Disclosed are an encoding method and an apparatus using a cyclic redundancy check (CRC) code and a polar code. The CRC encoding performs information bits as a determined number of CRC coding bits among input information bits, and performs polar coding on the CRC-coded information bits and other information bits except the CRC-coded information bits.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to an apparatus and a method for selecting a D2D communication mode according to signal interference, in a method for operating a transmission terminal performing the D2D communication by being linked with a receiving terminal comprising the steps of: checking whether the transmission terminal is affiliated to at least one among groups categorized according to a link priority; receiving from the receiving terminal a check result regarding whether the signal interference is received from at least three links within the affiliated group; and selecting a communication mode for communicating with the receiving terminal according to the signal interference. Abstract:
A decoding apparatus and method in a BWA communication system are provided, in which an ID-based decoder controller detects an ID from a data block by partially decoding the data block, and if the ID indicates that the data block is not for the receiver, outputs a control signal commanding non-decoding for the data block, a bitmap table controller indicates the data block as a non-decoding data block in a bitmap table according to the control signal, and a decoder distinguishes data blocks to be decoded from non-decoding data blocks based on the bitmap table, decodes the data blocks to be decoded and outputs the decoded data blocks, and simply outputs the non-decoding data blocks without decoding.
Abstract:
An apparatus and method are provided for stopping iterative decoding in a channel decoder of a mobile communication system. Constituent decoding of received signals is performed and decoded signals are output. Hard decision processes for the decoded signals are performed and hard-decided signals are output. The hard-decided signals are cyclic redundancy check (CRC) encoded, and a determination is made as to whether the parities are identical and iterative decoding is stopped according to a determination result.
Abstract:
An apparatus and a method for performing decoding in a broadband wireless access communication system are provided to decode even a burst exceeding a decoding capability limit if data required to be decoded is small, to thus enhance the freedom of operation in a network system. A receiver performs normal decoding on an FEC1(Forward Error Correction 1) block(1505). A GMH(Generic MAC Header) of a DL_PDU1(Downlink_Protocol Data Unit 1) is detected by using the decoded FEC1 data(1510). A CID of the DL_PDU1 is checked to determine whether the PDU is a PDU of the receiver(1515). If the PDU is a PDU of the receiver, the receiver performs normal decoding(1520) and calculates the length of the PDU to determine whether it is a next PDU(1525). If the PDU is not a PDU of the receiver, the receiver checks whether it has such a sufficient length as to be bypassed without being decoded(1530). If the PDU has such a sufficient length as to be bypassed, the receiver sets the FEC block to be bypassed(1535).
Abstract:
A method for operating a memory in a mobile communication system is provided to remove limit of the number of bursts which are received in a minimum memory space by dynamically allocating the memory space according to bursts based on information transmitted from a MAP decoder. A method for operating a memory in a mobile communication system includes the steps of: directly transmitting the number of bursts and a length for each burst in a MAP decoder to a data receiving block(701); configuring and transmitting a burst descriptor corresponding to a burst index based on the received number of bursts and the received length for each burst to an LMAC(Low Medium Access Control); storing a MAC PDU(Packet Data Unit) in a field which indicates a storage position of the MAC PDU included in the current burst, writing 0 in a data receiving block, and setting a field of a valid burst indicator as truth by updating the LMAC to 1 if the transmission of the MAC PDU corresponding to the burst is completed(705); determining whether an F field for each burst is set as truth(707); and transmitting the MAC PDU to an upper node and setting the F field as false when the F field for each burst is set as truth(709).
