Abstract: PURPOSE: Patterned magnetic recording media and a fabrication method thereof are provided to form boundary layers between magnetic columns in grating shape, and to prevent gaps from being formed between the magnetic columns, thereby forming an air bearing surface by a stable air flow while easily accomplishing magnetic recording/reproducing functions at very high density. CONSTITUTION: A soft magnetic under layer(101) is formed on a surface of a substrate(100) or a platter. A buffer layer(102) is deposited on the soft magnetic under layer(101). Patterned magnetic films(103) are formed on the buffer layer(102). The patterned magnetic films(103) include patterned boundary layers patterned in grating shape and plural patterned magnetic films(103) formed by the boundary layers.

Abstract: An apparatus for electromagnetically detecting microorganism is provided to determine the presence and quantity of microorganism and analyze the kind of microorganism by moving the microorganism with Lorentz force due to electric field and magnetic field, and measuring the electric potential difference of microorganism with a pair of electrodes.
