PURPOSE: A shutter glass, a method for driving the same, and a system for providing three dimensional images are provided to minimize the malfunction of the shutter glass by eliminating noises with is unintentionally inserted into a synchronizing signal from a display device. CONSTITUTION: A synchronizing signal is received from the outside. The gaps of timings, which are changed from a first level to a second level, are checked. The first level and the second level are respectively the high level and the low level of the synchronizing signal or vice versa. If the gap of the first timing and the second timing is less than a first range, the second timing is eliminated by processing the synchronizing signal. Based on the processed synchronizing signal, a shutter glass is driven.

PURPOSE: A shutter glasses for three dimensional images and a display system including the same are provided to prevent the malfunction of a display device and the shutter glasses. CONSTITUTION: A left eye shutter(221) blocks images for the right eye and transmits images for the left eye. A right eye shutter(225) blocks images for the images for the left eye and transmits the images for the right eye. A signal receiving part(230) is installed at the main body of glasses. A synchronizing signal for opening and closing the left eye shutter and the right eye shutter is received from a display device. An attenuating part(240) is installed at the main body of the glasses to attenuate the strength of external light.

PURPOSE: Shutter glasses for a stereoscopic image and an image display system having the same are provided to improve received signal efficiency by refracting external light. CONSTITUTION: A light receiving unit(230) receives a control signal from a display device. An optical element(240) is installed to face the light receiving unit and projects light into the light receiving unit. The optical element changes the travel route of the incident light in order to deviate irradiated light. PURPOSE: A display device and a motion blur reducing method thereof are provided to control the operating timing of the light source group of a backlight, thereby reducing motion blurs of the display device. CONSTITUTION: A backlight unit(110) comprises a light source group. The light source group is arranged in an edge area. A liquid crystal display panel(120) displays an image. A motion analyzing unit(130) divides the screen of the liquid crystal display panel into a plurality of areas. The motion analyzing unit analyzes a motion level of each area. PURPOSE: A shutter glasses and a display system thereof are provided to improve the structure of the polarization direction of the lens unit which light transmits by making the polarization direction of the lens to be changeable. CONSTITUTION: A lens unit is supported in a shutter glasses frame(210) and transmits light with a predetermined polarization direction. A shutter glasses(200) is in a disk shape around an optical axis. A shutter control unit selectively opens and closes the lens unit coping with a three dimensional image which is displayed on a display device. The polarization direction of the lens unit is changeably formed to be coped with the polarization direction of the three dimensional image in case the polarization direction of the three dimensional image does not cope with the polarization direction of the light.

PURPOSE: A display device and a driving method thereof are provided to prevent decrease in a stereoscopic image in incomplete opening period by shortening a data scan period or a back light scan time. CONSTITUTION: In a display device and a driving method thereof, an image processing unit(200) processes an image signal. The image signal comprises a left-eye image and a right eye image. A display unit(210) shows an image based on an image signal. A backlight unit(250) provided light to a display unit. A controller(240) creates the margin of a scan period between the left eye image and the right eye image. The controller controls at least one of the display unit and the backlight unit.
