PURPOSE: An upgrade device, a display device thereof, a control method thereof, and a display system thereof are provided to increase efficiency and to secure the operation stability of the display system by replacing the display device for a part or the whole of functions. CONSTITUTION: An interface unit (210) is connected to a display device (100) displaying an image to communicate with the display device. An image processing unit (220) processes an image signal corresponding to the image displayed on the display device. When an upgrade device is connected to the display device, a control unit (260) displays the image signal on the display device by processing the image signal and operates the upgrade device based on information received from the display device. PURPOSE: A display apparatus and a display method for displaying a 3D user interface frame are provided to select and execute an object which is displayed on a surface of the 3D frame by rotating the 3D frame by a user input. CONSTITUTION: An image receiving part(10) receives an image signal. An image processor(20) processes a 3D UI frame which includes the image signal and objects. A control unit(50) displays the first object on the visible surface of 3D UI frame and displays a second object corresponding to a 3D UI invisible surface to the background or a 3D UI frame. The control unit converts the object in the visible surface of the 3D UI frame by rotating the 3D UI frame according to the input of a user input part(40).

A display device is disclosed. the display device includes an image receiving unit receiving images; an image processing unit dividing the received image into a left-eye image and a right-eye image and processing the same; an image output unit alternatively outputting the left-eye image and the right-eye image; and a control unit calculating difference of pixel values between the left-eye image and the right-eye image with a pixel unit comprising the left-eye image and the right-eye image, detecting a cross torque generation area by using a predetermined response speed of a display panel and the calculated pixel value, and controlling the detected cross torque generation area to be displayed in a form which is distinguished from other areas.
