Abstract:
A micro-electrode array includes a substrate of a flexible material and one or more fine electrodes which are located on the substrate. The substrate includes a pattern which is located in a part of the substrate and reduces the thickness of the substrate by at least partly removing the substrate. A fine electrode array manufactured on a two dimensional plane is easily deformable into a three dimensional shape by the pattern which increases the flexibility of the substrate. For instance, the fine electrode array touches an object having a curved surface, thereby providing uniform contact according to the shape of an object when the fine electrode is inserted into a human body.
Abstract:
PURPOSE: An artificial retina system and a manufacturing method thereof are provided to obtain visual information and to stimulate the retina. CONSTITUTION: An artificial retina system comprises a substrate(300), a nanowire optical detector(301), a microelectrode array(302), and a power source(303). The substrate is patterned by lithographic processing. The nanowire optical detector comprises a nanowire in which resistance changes according to applied light. The microelectrode array stimulates retina cells and is placed to contact the retina cells. The power source supplies power for stimulating the retina cells to the nanowire optical detector and microelectrode array.

PURPOSE: A drug delivery system containing a layer structure with drug layers and polymer layers alternatively laminated is provided to highly maintain drug concentration of a target site and to easily control drug release rate. CONSTITUTION: A drug delivery system comprises: a core of a layer structure containing drug layers(110) and polymer layers(111) which are alternatively laminated; and a polymer outer layer(100) which surround the core and comprises an opening part. The drug delivery system further comprises a polymer cover(120) for covering the opening part. The structure inside the core has 2-10 layers. The polymer of the outer layer contains poly-caprolactone(PCL) or L-poly-lactide(LPLA). PURPOSE: A multi droplet generator is provided to generate a multi functional droplet by using various kinds of drugs and biodegradable polymer materials. CONSTITUTION: Raw materials are inputted to two or more droplet material supply paths(110,120). A droplet generation inducer(160) generates droplets by combining droplet raw materials. A central path(100) moves droplet generated from the droplet generation inducer. The droplet is discharged through a droplet outlet(151). The droplet material supply path, the droplet generation inducer, the central path, and the droplet outlet are spatially connected with one another.
